Bickering on here about the OL, the game comes on at 3 today on ESPNU. Let's watch it and then meet back tonight for debate.

Please write down quarter, yard line, and time of possesion so we can all compare notes.

I'm putting a tape in VCR when I get home (I really need to change to DirecTV and get TiVo). I'll have to come in to the debate late as I work until 7:00.

I'll be watching closely at #61's performance.

debate about the performance of the offensive linemen, is there a way of getting the blocking grades for each player for each game so that we could tell how the offensive coaches feel they are performing? Hey RM....is that a good a good way to settle this debate?

Grades would end the debate but we will never see them, Look the film doesn't lie and BOR makes some good points as does the rest of the board when we actually debate. I'm going to do the best I can to watch the whole first half and go from there.

I don't really like this kind of offense but the last time I looked on my caller ID I didn't see calls from CCG and CPN asking me what I thought.

FYI - the replay is tomorrow on CSS at both 3PM and 9PM.

What channel is it showing on today at 3?

Backs not knowing D&D has hurt, too....

We've had numerous occasions on 2nd&1, 3rd&1, where the OL has gotten the small push or crease to get the first down, but the running back has had happy feet & tried to break a long gainer, only to run smackdab into the back side pursuit.

Being able to take it East & West is nice, sometimes, but there are occasions where North & South is what's required.

As an old OL & OL Coach, it ain't always the line's fault when the back gets tackled for a loss.

ESPNU heading in to the second series.

Now I know I need DirecTV. ESPNU isn't offered by our local cable provider (Northland Cable). I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see the replay.

Deepsnap- Choice made a BAD cut in the ND game at 3rd and 1 which was critical.
otoh-when you are a running back and you get "use to " no holes, dancing becomes the norm.

I'll say one thing, I have seen plenty of holes against UVA and the backs aren't hitting them.

You can blame the OL all you want but look at the whole picture.

Thank you John. I still think the problem is timing. We're running a delay type running attack and the hole is either open before the back can get to it, or they dance while they're trying to decide. Linemen can't hold their blocks forever.

Not to say it's all the back either. The hole has to open when the back is there.

Wannabee, I'm on Northland Cable too and don't get ESPNU or CSS. Is it on anything we can watch on Northland?

CSS (Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast) is channel 40 on Northland Cable in Vidalia. They just added the channel to our listing though, so it may not be available in your area yet. I actually found it by accident flipping through the channels one day.

That's the only station I know that plays the replay.
