With the Army 2008 cancellation we now need another game vs preferbaly a BCS team. U of L I think is still seeking a replacement for when we dropped them. do you think we would now agree to go up there? They obviously are not nearly as good without Petrinoa nd will be breaking in a new QB. I'd think that game would be a good one and one we should win.

Another possibility is the Dome desperately wants an early season game. Could we get U of L to come to the dome for a game or perhaps another BCS team like USF? Anyway, here's hoping our schedule is improving next year and we might even get another home game.

The odds are more in favor of playing Northwestern State or Gardner-Webb.

We are already playing DI-AA Jacksonville State. It is extremely unlikely we will not schedule another one.

Look for a Sun Belt or MAC team in a 2-for-1 type deal.

How about we bring Hawaii over to the dome. let them experience the jet lag for once.

I would prefer that Hawaii isn't even the in the same time zone as our secondary.

I like the Hawai'i idea, but NO DOME!!!

Dome football is hardly football imo and why play in the Dome when we have Division I-A's oldest stadium to play at?

I would like to schedule one of those Big East teams who think they're hot sh!t and obliterate them at BDS.

I guess you're leaving WVU off that list?

Not really. I would like to play them again, but I was thinking teams like Cincinnati, South Florida, Rutgers, & UConn who think they're world beaters after getting into the Top 25 mainly due to a piss poor conference.

I want nothing to do with WVU for at least 2 more years.

I'd take Rutgers or SF though. Not so much UConn anymore. Edsall scares me.

(btw, I'd be happy with him as a Chan replacement if one must be found)

Guys...lets be realistic...the options will be slim as most everyone has their schedule set for next year....heck for several years...especially next year.

We may have to look at a school that has just entered D1A as they may not be set yet with a full D1A compliment...or another independent like Navy or Western Kentucky. I am just guessing at the potential options....I just know they will be slim.

You mean, 'for twice'. They played at Alabama last year. Or 'thrice' since they open their season at The Swamp next year.

I'd be surprised if we were the only team that received that letter from Army. They also have Rutgers, Rice, and Texas A&M on their schedule for next year. They have home and away with Rutgers for the next 5 years. Bumping Jax St. next year and pushing back the upcoming Middle Tenn St. series a year would allow us to pick up Rutgers for their 5 year Army contract.

Wow I didn't know that. Good for them though I've got a little man crush on Hawaii and it's good to see them expanding their horizon a bit.

I want to play a national power. I don't want to play Rutgers or USF. Sorry. I want to relive our old glory days and play someone like UT, UF, OU, etc, etc.

Too bad their schedules are already full for next year.
