With the "wild cat" becoming more

I guess there's always the potential to draft guys who have an option style mentality, but our offense is not run out of the shotgun like the wildcat/turkey/hog. I think most NFL teams will look at someone who ran the spread out of the shotgun in college a la Pat White, Tim Tebow, etc.

Still, I think we will have no problem having offensive players getting drafted if they have the athletic talent, esp. running backs and wide receivers. NFL teams are not going to leave the best talent on the table.

I think the whole "system QB" thing is overblown. The NFL doesn't have the practice time limitations college does. They care about talent, not really experience, since they'll have plenty of time to teach whatever they need to teach. Wuerffel and other QB's just didn't have the talent.

But I do think a good passer could do VERY well in CPJ's full offense. Based on what I've heard, CPJ had to focus on running almost exclusively at Navy considering his QB and WR talent, but he could have shown much more of his offense with an effective passer. It would take a few years to learn CPJ's system for running and passing, but it should be very nice to see an experienced QB who can run and pass running our offense.
