with any of the remaining games. Simple, we need a coordinator?
 
agreed... there's no excuse for it. We've got talent in the secondary and even up front, but this guy is terrible... no adjustments, no "easing" into the new coverages...

Wommack needs to get gone
 
I agree, Wommack needs to go. But, the defense made some adjustments after halftime and shut Dixon down. He had 103 yars in the 1st half and only had 3 yards in the 2nd half. They did force some turnovers too. But yeah, they didnt play terrible, but subpar is the word. But I hope Wommack's ass is gone after this year. Its weird how a few years ago, our defense was good and the offense sucked, but now these days our offense is good and the defense sucks.

Why can't we have a good defense and offense in the same year?
 
If we get rid of him, we need to promote Giff Smith.

Don't worry about Wommack, he has plenty of years put into his SS.

A coordinator is responsible for missed tackles? And for not being able to shed blockers? And for our LB's playing like they have cement shoes?

Exactly! After UNC, people were happy with Wommack. Now they are pissed. Schitzo fans.

Not so sure about this. I like Giff and all but he does coach the DL ya know and they kinda suck in more ways than just personnel. We need a defensive "mind." Somebody similar to CPJ who would shake his head at the shenanigans that are going on out there right now like Johnson did watching Gailey's outfit.

I've had a wait and see attitude thus far but now am in sympathy with the 'Tenuta would be a helluva lot better than this' crowd. Have we blitzed at all this year? I know Tenuta is not an option or the answer but something's bad wrong in whoville.

I hate ND as much as anybody and I don't care anything about Tenuta but they were pretty salty on the goal line yesterday.
 
I agree. IF we have an offensive hiccup, it could spell dooms day.

Don't forget that they gave up 30 points. They did come up with that one great stand. They've had one great defensive game in which they held Nevada scoreless. Nevada hasn't played well at all this year but holding anybody scoreless is an accomplishment. But in their other 4 games they've allowed 30 or more points in 3 of them and 21 in the other. They aren't winning on defense. They are winning because they are outscoring people.

I'm not trying to run Tenuta down. I thought his defense, mostly, gave us lots of excitement and was singularly responsible for many of our wins while he was here. Neither am I suggesting that I'm pleased with what I've seen thus far from Coach Wommack. I'm not. Just saying that Tenuta hasn't exactly lit the world on fire at ND.
