All-America recruiting confidential: Elite ’23 prospects discuss NIL deals, photo shoots, best visits

Which school or coach you didn’t sign with recruited you the hardest, and why didn’t you sign with them?
Player 11:
Georgia Tech. I love Atlanta. It fits my personality. That felt like home to me. But their coach got fired in the middle of the year, and the position coach left. There was too much going on. I can’t be in a program that isn’t stable. It has to be sturdy, already built in so I can grow. If it’s shaky, everything is shaky. It starts up top. If not, it trickles down. I look bad. My teammates look bad. We can’t have that.

I'm betting the RB from Miami

That guy wasn't going to be as good as he could be had he come anyways . Seems like he has an outsider's view - little did he know how messed up we were. I'm still shocked how astoundingly bad it was when CGC was fired. Makes me wonder how was he recruited, what did he see over the last few years?

I am tired of Geoff Collins recruits(transfer portal or HS) underperforming. I for one am excited to see CBK 2 & 3 stars develop on the Flats. Plus I am excited to see the transfers that CBK brings in.

But Geoff said we ran a DeVeLoPmEnTaL pRoGrAm

Every dipshit teenager who has ever picked up a football wants a "stable" program to join. Sounds like a weak mind. öööö off.\

edit: icymi here is the op again

So he'd rather play for a 3-win coach and a RB coach that had been there less than a year?

I find this statement very intriguing: " I love Atlanta. It fits my personality. That felt like home to me. "

This is what the last coach was trying to sell, honestly I wasn't sure that it was actually of interest to recruits. But here there is a supposed all-american who was considering Tech largely because of this. I think the last guy could sell ice to an eskimo, but he couldn't coach. I think Brent Key can coach and lets hope he can sell a little bit too.

100% sure this was Javin Simpkins, who still hasn't signed anywhere...

From what I see, he's hardly elite. 436-ranked three star.

The article I read said "He was previously committed to Georgia Tech."

This bull öööö MUST stop. You're not committed to jack öööö if you can just change your mind on a whim with zero repurcussions. Fans should stop repeating this media-driven drivel.
