I along with many of you here would REALLY like to have this recruit.

I just spoke to Bill Castle, Head Coach and Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida. After the chit chat I got to asking him about Aycock and what he thought. Lakeland is playing Aycock's Chamberlain High School in the quarter finals this Friday night.

He told me that Aycock may be the best high school quarterback that he has ever seen in his 35 years as a head football coach. He stated that Aycock could run and throw equally well. He is not looking forward to facing him Friday night, but he is also looking forward to the challenge of trying to slow him down.

Bill's words on Aycock impress me due to the fact he has seen many great players through the years at LHS. Bill has won 6 state championships and 2 MNC at Lakeland, so I would think he knows a little about talent. He puts him in the same category as a Duante Culpepper and other QB's he has faced over the years.

Bill also said he has heard that GT is recruiting him very hard.

Let's hope we can get this young man on The Flats!!

We lead for him and he wanted to commit long ago. However, his older brother Dwight Smith, who plays DB for the mighty Detroit Lions keeps telling him to wait. Apparently Dwight has convinced him to let him take all of his five visits with him along for the ride after the NFL season is over.

Sims, Aycock, and Luellan are the staff's top three targets at QB.

I hope he watched the Ugag game--that had to impress many of our recruits!!
