Would Auburn hire a bama grad or vice versa?

As much as All-barn and UGAg hate each other, remember this:

Pat Dye was a UGAg "grad" who coached the Tigers.
Prince Vince was a AU grad who coached the Mutts.

Nate how many posts do you need about this? Is it so important to make sure everyone knows where you stand? We hear you loud and clear. And I disagree with you.

Hell if we did hire Muschamp, and he did start waxing UGA, wouldn't it be hysterical that they had one of their own beating them.

I would also have to imagine that in case of a hire like Muschamp, his contract would certainly not allow him to leave for UGA under any circumstances.

Neil Callaway played for The Bear and coached for Auburn under Dye for 12 years.

Now, if you want something even scarier, Jimbo Fisher not only played for Terry Bowden at two different schools, but he also coached under him at two also!!! And the only one he played and coached under Bowden at, is the same one Chan Chan was the HC for!!! Ya folla?

is there a limit?
anyways, i was just asking? i'll be more careful in the future.

Bottom line, my passion for beating UGA is 2nd to none and i dont like much of anything affiliated with them in anyway..sorry if it offends some of you

I just want to beat UGA regularly, and if hiring a Dawg gives us the best chance to make that happen, then I have no problem with it, and neither would you.

CROSSING ENEMY LINES
  • Auburn alumnus G.H. Harvey is the only person to serve as head football coach at both Auburn University and The University of Alabama.
  • Harvey coached Auburn to a 3-0-2 record in his lone season with the Tigers in 1893. Included in that record was a 40-16 win over Alabama on Nov. 30 at Montgomery’s Riverside Park.
  • Harvey also served as head coach at Alabama during the 1901 season, compiling a 2-1-2 record, which included a 17-0 loss to Auburn in the first ever meeting in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 15, 1901.
  • Harvey’s combined coaching record with Auburn and Alabama was 5-1-4 in 10 games as head coach.
  • Bill “Brother” Oliver, who played at Alabama in 1960s and then later served as an assistant coach under Bryant and Stallings at Alabama, was Auburn’s interim head coach in 1998.
  • Oliver took over midway through the season for Terry Bowden, who resigned in October, and coached the Tigers to a 2-3 record, including a 31-17 loss to the Crimson Tide."

I am really just going to trust DRad right now.

Crap, I just hope we hire someone who knows you have to hire a real R/C from day one.

And someone who will not hire a bunch of guys just because they were old buddies with you, like Geis.

ccg should have been fired after Calvin had his second game of 2 catches for 4 yards. Talk about a sin.

Auburn / UGA would be like us hiring a Clemson grad. It's totally different than AU / Bama or GT / UGA.
