With 4 star players or 8 to 10 wins /year with 2 & 3
star players? Some are worried we won't be able to
recruit the top tier/ future NFL players with CPJ's
offense, but we have no basis for saying that.

Even if we can't get the no miss 4 & 5 star players,
CPJ's record says we will still win. It's nice to have a
Calvin Johnson type dominating the opposition but he
was a once in a lifetime player.

I'm starting to feel good about the chance of CJT
hanging around to coach the D so we could still
recruit the top caliber players for that side of the
ball, nothing would change there. We were never
going to recruit like a football factory anyway.

At least recently, there have been so few good pro style college quarterbacks.
Our Hamilton, our Godsey types would suit me just fine and they are out there. So are the receiver types that flourished here before Calvin.

We will be more than fine.

You mean the ones that can actually catch the damn football? :wow:

See, this is what frustrates me, too many of our fan's are EVEN pleased with 8 to 10 wins a year. Why?
PJ came here to win championship's not win 8 to 10 games a year. We at GT should be disappointed at 8 to 10. Im thinking that will be the case after 2 to 3 years of PJ. He is arriving here just like Spurrier did at UF in 1990 (On a mission to change our mindset) To beat our in-state rival and win championships and not settle for 8 to 10 wins a year. It was said by one long-time Gsu fan that get use to going to Major Bowls and not the Minor ones we have grown use to. That is what I'm expecting.

If we win 8-10 games consistently with BCS bowls out the wazzoo and make a run at a championship every few years with an 11-12-13 win season I will more MORE than pleased.

I don't see how anyone couldn't. That would put us up there with any of the best teams in the country. You can't expect a championship every season.

Yeah, before the search was complete I couldn't help but laugh at all the posters that whined about not being able to recruit top-tier athletes. Like we've ever been able to consistently pull in the blue-chippers anyway.

You guys are nuts, 8 to 10 games per year sounds outstanding to me.

A great thing about PJ is his offense works better with small fast players, something that alot of 5star players are not. (small that is)

I thought I was missing out on some important thought process...

Hmmm, 6-7 wins or 8-10 wins.... Gee, let me think.

I'll tell you this, I would rather have 2-3 star players that are all about the team than 4-5 star players that are all about making it to the next level, that's for sure. Not that a blue chipper can't do both, but I'm sure you can see my point.

The whole HS rating thing is a bunch of BS anyway for the most part. What rating did Tony Romo have in HS? Or any number of current NFL players...

It also took Spurrier SIX years to win a national championship and that was the only time he did it over his 10 years at UF.

We need to be more realistic in our expectations. 8-10 wins a year sounds fantastic to me. If that happens, then the 1990 and 1998 type seasons will come around.

Redshirt Walk-on wide receiver R.B. Clyburn has the potential of being AMAZING in this offense. R.B. is 6'6", has terrific hands, has pretty good speed (4.6-7ish), is a good down-field blocker, and will win almost every one-on-one play (which is what a flexbone brings for its WR).

A couple of YouTube videos from R.B. in high school:

Interesting/Ironic choice of "words". Don't try to play this when imvolved in a game of Scrabble with adults. No way will you get away with it. :nono:
Per Encarta:

stu·pid [ stpəd ] (comparative stu·pi·der, superlative stu·pi·dest)

adjective Definition: blah, blah, blah
