Ugay go undefeated until our game and beat them... or rather them not win a game?

Personally I hope they never win another game.

What do y'all think?
 
Not win a game. Going 11-1 and to the SEC championship will do nothing to stop the oral fellating of them, which is going to occur on a national stage this year.
 
I don't really care what they do...0-12 or 11-1 would mean the same to me as long as we beat them.

Hell, even if they won the MNC and we were their only loss...I could still probably deal with that.
 
This is the toughest of all questions I've seen here yet. On the one hand, you've got the potential that Georgia loses every game, turning every Saturday of this fall into bizarro Christmas, where Santa flies down my chimney, gives me a thirty pound stack of hundred dollar bills, then morphs in Jessica Alba and blows me for two solid hours.

Or, you've got the chance to prove to the entire universe what we've always known - that Georgia Tech is the shining beacon of righteousness and good against all that is unholy and evil in this world. What is better? A season of beautifully unrelenting pain for the scourge of humanity, or tainting their most sacred of accomplishments with a stain they will never erase? I'm going to go with 0-11 season, slightly, because I don't want to hear the media call UGA the national champions for a season if they go on to win. Nobody is going to refer to LSU as the "defending that national champs that just happened to lose to Arkansas and Kentucky."
 
0-11 That means my two fav teams will beat UGA this year!

You think it would be okay to have U[sic]GA as national champions? I pray to God you never get the chance to find out how wrong you are about that. If everyone thinks the AJC and other media is biased towards them now....

Uga isn't on my radar until they are the next game.

I think we think about them more than they think about us. I would like that to change.
 
I mean how is this a question. UGA losing every saturday, being the laughing matter in whole Georgia, well whole US. Dude(s), come on, that will be some times, that will be the day whole Georgia will be proud of us!
 
I was pretty satisfied last year to watch Notre Dame go down in flames week after week, even if it somehow cheapened our victory up there. Similarly, I'd be happy if UGA missed being bowl eligible this year.

the reason it was brought up is because some other members of the board thought i was crazy when i said i would rather them not win a game, so i was interested to see how many people thought that way o and to the guy that said we shouldn't think about ugay until the game before... tell that to paul johnson... you sound like chan gailey and if i am not mistaken... he was run off

Very good point. U[sic]GA might do that because they beat us...but give us one win and that will all change. You think they don't think about Florida until the week before?

Indeed.

And this is another example of people confusing the fanbase with the players. I don't recall any headlines saying "TECH FANS CAUGHT LOOKING AHEAD TO UGA, RUIN TEAM'S CHANCES VS MIAMI"

I understand your point but I'm not a coach or a player - I'm not responsible if we lose to them nor do I get any credit if we beat them.

My point is that Tech fans spend way to much mental energy obsessing about UGa during the 50 weeks outside the two-week window before we play them. I wouldn't mind it so much if they were the same way with us. But they aren't.

They don't show up on the first day of spring practice thinking: "We gotta beat Tech this year!" No, they are thinking: "We gotta go undefeated this year!"

When we start thinking about going undefeated instead of winning one game every season, guess what will happen. We'll beat the nadlickers like we own them and go on to bigger and better things like winning a fifth National Championship.

Losing to UGa is never acceptable. But, to me, losing to anybody is never acceptable. The goal every season should be "Lose to No One!" and not "Well, if we only win one game this year I sure do hope its against Uga."

There is a world of difference between wanting to be a winner and wanting to not be a loser.

Besides if Tech were the preseason favorite to win it all and UGa was picked to win 2 games, we wouldn't be discussing them at all which suggests that our priorities each season revolve around how good or how bad UGa is. That just ain't right.

And just to address the comparison to Gailey - and I'm biting my lip as I type this - beating UGa is a lot more important to me than it ever was to him.

I don't really worry about ugag to tell the truth. If they lose, I laugh. If they win, I ignore it. If they are undefeated and we beat them it will be funny. If they are 0-11 and we beat them that will be funny as well.
