I wasnt able to even listen to the whole game (wedding... which the groom will catch hell about for years to come), but I'm very happy. Week in and week out we see a few good teams make a lot of mistakes but somehow they pull out a win. This says a lot about the team, and the defense really showed some heart and dug down deep there at the end. Winners find a way to win, and I think the men in white and gold are figuring that out agian.

The off week will hopefully be good for us, little time to rest, heal up, and get ready for clemson. Go Jackets, way to legitimize the win last week without letting a lose catch us from behind.

And I officially move that Choices nickname be "Big Time" after listening to his postgame interview, the kid couldnt stop saying it. Love the guy!

That was exactly my opinion of the game.

Here's how it works:

All teams have one or two games per year where everything goes wrong.

The difference between a good team and a great team is the ability to win even when everything goes wrong.

This was a great win for our program today. It's especially good because it's a wakeup call for the Clemson game.

Agreed, Peck. What a better way to win this game than a goal line stand to win it or lose it! Talk about gut check. Michael Johnson will remember his last two plays of this game for a long time, and so will I.
Fortunately for the Md. qb, I don't think he will. The hit he took on 4th down was real "bad".

Went to the game with my 11 year old daughter today. Great game.

Talking to the fellow next to me when it was 23-14 (I think, its all a blur) about now we'll see what we are made of. A few years ago we would have folded it in and gotten an "L".

This time Reggie, Calvin, Wheeler, Anoai, Johnson (all of them), etc..... teamed up and TOOK the game.

Excellent job boys. One to remember.

Am I the only one that considered before that last goal line stand that he may need medical attention afterwards? My heart rate had to be 140.

I was literally shaking by the end (me thinks I take this stuff too seriously... nah)

Incredible game...won when so much went wrong

for us today. I don't have a voice and probably won't for a couple of days.

These are the games we have lost previously.

Nice to see the team rally for the victory. Not pretty but few teams ever win all their games pretty. Special Teams has me baffled because their mistakes are so simple. Hopefully a week off will give them time to work on the fundamentals again.

Now we've just got to stay focused during our week off and come out strong at Clemson.

Good teams, the ones that year end and year out are a fixture in the top 25 and usually playing on New Year's day, find a way to win these type of ball games. Although it seemed like GT was climbing a mountain all day, in the end the offense came up with two scores and the defense stood up at the end of the game and made the plays that brought home the W.

This was a great win, coming on the heels of a big victory against VT. As RP titled this thread, the GT program has turned a corner, I truly believe that.

Couldn't agree more, RP. This game was proof that we are a different team this year, last year if we were put in the same situation, we would have probably lost.

Anyway, great win JACKETS!!!!!!
