Several positives from this game....
1. No new injuries to the team or to the patch work OL...which by the way played great 2nd half
2. Choice got his carries & went for YARDAGE
3. Bennett had a good game overall & will build on his confidence...
4. Nesbitt saw the field & even caught some passes...I will take that and believe they will continue to get him on the field however possible.
5. Cox outstanding game & great film for the NFL to review & listen to the commentators who were like a running commercial for him throughout the game!

Things I would like to see in future:
Really would like to see DWYER back in the backfield. He hasn't really been given the chance over past several games to even see the field outside of kick off returns....Has to be frustrating....The guy was playing great and has SEVERAL TD's...I don't understand.
Want to see them continue to work with WR on catching the ball. They're still dropping way too many passes!

Anyway, decent game & great to see us get out with a W on the road & we've got their number now 3 in a ROW!!

Oh and I forgot to say that I would still like to see Bond given the opportunity to open things up....
On a side note I don't recall a single direct snap to Choice....that is a change from recent game to say the least.

They also still need to work on covering the deep threat on long pass shots

Well, it was said somewhere Bond wanted to see Nesbitt get the ball in place of Choice in that direct-snap type formation and I think they finally did that today. He even got to pass, which will help for that formation.

Where's the guy who told me to shut-up about saying Nesbitt will keep getting more time? Oh here he is......

Quit all this nonsense about "Oh, Chan's going to get Nesbitt in for a few series".

How many times in the Gailey error have we heard that a second quarterback would be a factor in a game?
Ain't gonna happen. You may see him for one or two snaps like last weekend, but that's it.

i think it was a good decision to move away from the direct snap to Choice & good to see Nesbitt get some reps....he is only 1 injury away from having to replace Bennett...so it's important he get reps at game speed....Wonder what the other back up quaterback is thinking since he hasn't seen the field since transferring...& now is passed over by a true freshman....Do you think he will change positions to have a chance at seeing the field anytime soon?

amen demjackets...Good win for the program & hope to see us build on the momentum! Wouldn't it be awesome to see us shut down VT on national TV on THURSDAY NIGHT!!!

Don't forget the great catch by freshman DJ Donley on 3rd down on the last drive. It sealed the win....Mike

If TB went down Booker would be the QB, Nesbitt is only in on for running and doesnt know the full offense yet, he has his own plays he runs.

Good to know Demjackets...any idea when Dwyer is going to get some more opportunities to run from the RB position??? What's up with that?

That puzzles me, I am going to see what is going on with Jon not playing. There is no excuse for him not be getting some carries he is too good to not have carries the last few weeks.

It's puzzling .....Grant hasn't been lights out or anything & personally for the future #21 needs to be out there. Nothing against Grant but at least split the reps b/w the 2....I mean Dwyer played great for a freshman...he's tied w/ number of TD & hasn't even gotten the chance to score another????

It doesnt make sense, he was doing well and this doesnt help his confidence I'm sure.

How sweet it is! That's three straight over Miami, two of them in their house.

Well done, Jackets! :woot:

I agree dem! TC and Dwyer are tied at 6 TD's each unless the stats at ramblingwreck.com aren't up to date....RUSHING GP Att Gain Loss Net Avg TD Long Avg/G
----------------------------------------------------------------
Tashard Choice 6 121 652 16 636 5.3 6 73 106.0
Jonathan Dwyer 6 42 281 20 261 6.2 6 65 43.5
Rashaun Grant 4 22 90 1 89 4.0 0 11 22.2

And Dwyer is did a good job of returning kick offs...He's just got to much talent to be restricted to KO return duty & he's shown glimpses of what he can do w/ the ball in his hands & the numbers above reflect it...Will be interesting to see what you hear Dem...keep us posted as ALWAYS!

Dwyer can't run up the middle. Dem, do you know anything about football? TC is a fantastic running back. Just a fantastic back. We are going to miss him and it's too bad that he didn't get to finish his last year healthy.

Is that a serious question? I know TC is a great back, Dwyer should touch the ball a few times a game atleast. Grant isn't the best going up the middle either, you find ways and create ways to get the playmakers on the field.
