What was up with WREK not broadcasting the game yesterday? Brought my mp3 player to the game to listen to Wes (doesn't get AM), and they played crappy music all game. Anyone know the deal? Kyle?
 
WREK doesn't do day games. WREK is a noncommercial station, and only got permission to broadcast night games because of 790 having to power down at nightfall.

Yep. Only 3:30 games or later.
 
so 790 is the only way to listen to day games inside the stadium?

That sounds contrary to what they should be doing, which is make the game available to as many people as possible. Who told you they were doing this?
 
107.1 is great for listening to away games, but I'm not able to pick it up at BDS --it is out of Rome. Yep, an AM radio is the way to go.

to make money, you have to sell all of your properties. if you give them away, then they have no value. find me any major football power that gives away the internet stream of the broadcast...they have all sold them. that is how they pay for facilities and coaches

DRad talked about it on The Good Word and I also talked to the sports director at WREK. DRad didn't give an explanation of why, just that you had to listen to it at ramblinwreck.com.

I figured there'd be a lot of competition at that job as well, with all the UGA grads saturating the market.
