So which is it? Did CPJ leave the cupboard bare, or did he not? I hear people crying about the lack of line depth and slow LBs from CPJ's tenure and that it was going to take a few years to get the players we need into rotation. We aren't ööööing Oklahoma or Alabama - We can't right this ship in a season+ by simply reloading. Damn, we were one score away from the lead this week and last - and if we weren't falling over our own dicks, we would've won the games running away, or at least had the score look a lot more competitive.

Everyone said it was going to be tough and we said it was going to be tough and now you're being a öööö for brains because you think Collins hasn't already become the second coming of Christ.

Tech fans, man...

its the losing games due to sloppy idiotic mistakes And horrific gameday coaching that people are pissed about. It’s a horrifically coached team. I can deal with inferior talent. 6,000 penalties 12 turnovers and 5 blocked field goals though...

People tend to be more understanding when you lose to a team that is superior in talent. Outside of a few trolls or noted sourpusses, no one was pissed at CGC for losing to UCF.

However, when you lose at least in part due to undisciplined play and sloppy mistakes, and in the process take out two of your opponent's players with illegal blocks, people are going to be critical.

CGC can't snap his fingers and restock the cupboard. But over a full year in, he is certainly responsible for how prepared our players look when they are playing the game. And as a team they do not look prepared at all.

I accept that we're not yet a good team and the talent isn't where we want it to be. But you don't need to have a team of world class athletes to not commit 15 penalties, appear incapable of executing a successful field goal, get players off the field in time, utilize the strengths of your team (in our case, our running backs), etc. We looked like a reasonably well-coached team vs. FSU so I'm not giving up on Collins or anything, but through his first 15 games, the trends evident in the film aren't very positive.

We’re regressing hard. God, I hope we didn’t peak in our first game of the season.

I understand we are going to lose games this year. I just wish we would play the young players who are going to turn this around and let them develop. We gain nothing by playing Curry for instance.

For reference UCF had 10 penalties in the first quarter today. 7 of which were false starts.
