Does anybody know anything about this satellite radio business, besides the fact that the receivers are expensive? I ask wondering if there is any way to get GT games broadcast over XM. That would solve our ridiculous radio situation. In Winder for instance, the broadcast is sometimes delayed while the funeral home report is completed on WIMO.

Our radio situation shows that we have a long way to go in building a fan base around the state. Outside of Atlanta, it gets pretty thin, and the radio stations know that. Therefore, we struggle to pick up a decent signal of Tech games. Heck, even in Atlanta, it's hard to get 790 outside the perimeter at night.
Where I live in West GA, I can easily get Auburn, Bama or UGA games. I have to struggle to get a decent Tech signal. At night, forget it.

I have e-mailed XM at the site law furnished by law-bee to ask who to get in touch with about programming. They have sports channels with national suppliers, but if there were sufficient demand for certain colleges, maybe they'd try it. ND probably already has a national radio network, they'd be a candidate GT sure has people all over the place. Anyway it's a task for the AA. Maybe we can give them a heads-up.

My recollection is that you cannot listen online b/c you have dsl w/ too much net congestion. If that is the case you might try dailing in.

I have dsl, but when I stream (listen to live stuff) on my computer I just dial in and I dont have any problems.

law-bee, you mean you listen to the games on-line?
Do you tune into 790 on line? Or where?

I can pick up Tech games on the radio real good on South 107.1 FM, day and night.
