I hope whomever may have offered you a job retracts it after that abomination of a ballgame. You were truly a one trick pony.

Jon Tenuta failed as a head football coach today. But this post is an embaressment. Tenuta was the major reason we kept above .500 the last 6 years.

I absolutely agree. Hell folks, what was the line of the game ? We were the underdogs anyway you look at it. We made a come back effort and we fell short.

I HOPE Wommack is an improvement...

Tenuta is one of the most overrated DC's in the country. We routinely beat 8 to 9 teams a year with Tenuta (Only the team's that could not pass the ball) ANY team that can pass the ball beat us over that 6 year stretch. Go back and check.

If Wommack is not better, we should call PJ on it. It is time for Gt to finally field a kick arse defense. I'm sorry, but Tenuta has been overrated IMHO the past 6 years. He fit in with Chan's 8 to 9 win a year philosophy.

Why can't we get an in your face DC like Van Gorder? Did you see Pat Hill in the game today? He was in their faces when they hit the sidelines. Tenuta, even today just stood there. No emotion. For the last 6 years he was in the press box. Just like Joe Hamilton said after the Ugag game, there was NO emotion on the sideline.

I want a DC that is on the sideline kicking arse!!!
You play defense with a lot of emotion. I didn't see that today, nor all year.

I hope Lsu is happy with him.

Guys we were the favorites by the Vegas line and by the popular vote splashed up on ESPN constantly. This hurt the rep of GT as a program. And now I think it is relatively apparent that JT was a one trick pony. Blitz Blitz Blitz. Thats all the innovation I see. No sound coverage anywhere. No line technique, no LB technique, just blitz and get a sack so you can high 5 somebody.

How in the world could you expect success today? Given the interim coach and whoknows else is going to be gone, and you couldn't have a game that means less. Lower level bowl games usually help point to next year, but that wasn't even the case this time. Thanks to JT, I wish him all the best.

I agree - Tenuta's blitz-happy D worked great until everybody figured out how to handle it. Keep throwing short stuff, then when he backs off the blitz, pound us with the run.

With the athletes we have on defense, we should have been much better this year (especially towards the end).

Hey, I think Tenuta was probably in a lose/lose scenario also, but WE WERE THE FAVORITE!!!. The line of the game was in our favor. Tenuta was a good DC, but the reporters at halftime may have been on to something, "this was his first time on the sidelines", they said. This was probably his last time on the sidelines also!

The one thing he did right today is pull TB at half time.Gailey would have never done that. I am not going to bash him based on this one game. He saved our ass more then he cost us since he has been here.

Congratulations to Coach Tenuta and team

What is wrong with you? Did they quit? NO. Coach Tenuta came into an untenable situation. Do you know that most interim coaches don't win the bowl game?

Coach Tenuta let the kids have fun. The bowl game is their reward, not yours. More kids played today than any other game. They had fun and were in the game and didn't quit.

It would have been easy for them to quit, knowing they have a boring offesne coming in, that has no guarantee of suceeding at the major college level. A transfer QB and the starting QB will be on the practice squad. Receivers will never see the ball, just block. Johnson said as much in the 3rd quarter interview.

So coach Tenuta rewarded the kids and let them play and have fun. Bravo to him and bravo to the team with all the uncertainty they face. They did a remarkable job considering the future they may face and thge adversity they played through.

I for one and proud of the coaching staff and team.

You Tenuta apologist have your heads up your . . .

. . . arse. Giving up 40 points and nearly 600 yards to a second rate program and losing to them for the second time in a decade is a stain ajax won't wash off.

Tenuta was exposed today as he has been anytime we play anybody worth a damn. Today it was by a team that was not worth a damn.

Our guys should be embarassed with that performance. Hopefully Johnson will run off the quitters and play some guys that take pride in being a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket. The Humiliation Bowl the end of the Gailey era.

Tenuta has always been overrated and whoever hires him will find that out in a hurry. Thank God we are changing management.

Go Jackets!

You know it's always interesting that we blame our DC CJT. He with out a doubt had his downfalls but when are we going to start looking at the athletes that are on a free ride here show up and perform? Please answer that.

Are they so fragile that we can't challenge them?

BOR,I think he said bring Roof back as a coach..as in LB's or something. That had more to do with attitude and his connection to Tech than as a qualified DC.

No, he wanted him back as DC. Also he entertained the idea of Roof as our Head coach. I remember it well.
