... the list of visitors this weekend includes Georgia Tech commit Jeremi Hall [details] ... is one of five players that are committed to USF and taking an official visit.

I can't get into the article but I asked a buddy of mine what was up and he said Hall is not likely to qualify academically for GT and maybe not for USF either. Either grades or a test score.

May be like the kid from Africa last year who ended up signing with UNC but ended up not qulifying for anywhere in the NCAA.

Expected, but still sad. I sure was hoping for 2 of these big guys instead of one. Sure hope Devine stays solid.

Indeed. Did not clear hill.

Will not be signing with GT. would have really like to have seen this big guy on the line.

Well ööööe. At least it's going down better than the kid last year who couldn't come.

Ugh... He was one of the better recruits we would have had in years

I don't know about that. Devine is the one that you would put in that category with his unbelievably quick feet relative to his size. But still one I'd rather not lose.

if he qualified ncaa wise but not tech wise.....this is a classic example of why a potential exception system can be used. another classic example of also why we are a .500 program.

So the inevitable late recruiting losses begin...

I'd read here that Hall had a better senior season than Devine.

So the inevitable bitching about recruiting and "the Hill" begins...

You know what time it is .... :bigcry:

If what the OP said is true this ones on the kid. Being shaky to qualify at USF takes some doing.

Clearly the the Hill's fault that this kid can't get minimum grades/scores in High School and might not even qualify for any school.

Stupid Hill.

How is an exception going to help a guy who might not even be able to qualify for USF? Do you really think he would stay eligible? The fact that there's even a question whether he can meet the NCAA minimums means that us signing him would be a bad idea.

Looks like I'm late to the ST meltdown, oh the joys of the offseason

This. No ones fault but the kids. Hopefully he learns from this and realizes student athlete has the word student before athlete.

.....so why the heck were we even involved with this kid? I mean, not being able to qualify at USF?...
That level of achievement should have been easy to identify a while ago.
