Big GT logo in middle of field?

it has been proven that two smaller logos in that other spot get more TV time, but we all know the GTAA cant market right ;)

There is another small logo opposite the ACC logo. If you look to the top left of the pic you can see that there is an outline there for something. Can't tell what it is though.

Seems a bit early to be painting the field to me. I helped on the grounds crew a few times in high school and they always did the painting on Fridays, the day of the game. Seems after several days of grass watering / potential rain and grass growth the field will look scruffy and faded. But I'm no expert, just surprised.

Most likely painting now to get a good base on it. I'm sure it's going to be manicured and touched up again late Friday - early Saturday.

And on the subject I brought up a minute ago of the other logo opposite the ACC logo. It's probably a 100 year anniversary logo for Grant Field. The tweet from @GT_Groundscrew shows a slightly different pic than the one in this thread and captions, "New paint scheme this season for 100 year anniversary of Grant Field."

I'd rather see a giant Buzz at midfield with smaller GT's at the usual spots.

BUT, I'm just glad to see SOMETHING at midfield again. I hate seeing it bare.

Not a fan of this but I don't think there's anything blatantly bad about it (unlike our uniforms.) Just a matter of opinion.

Thank God they didn't put a big buzz out there though.

at least we all agree

For the first game two years ago they only had the outlines painted. They were filled in by the next home game. I can't recall the reason though.

Wasn't on TV.

The 100 year anniversary logos are going to be where the GT logos usually are so they have to put he GT logo somewhere else

The reason at the time was because we had the first of three straight home games and it wasn't televised. Leaving the colored paint on for a month is apparently not good for the grass in those areas.
