the grass dies under the paint easier, so they wait as long as possible since its hot down here and hard to keep the grass nice

you dont want to have to put paint on mud, that gets really bad slippery

I like the color. It's the same color as the throwback jerseys they wore against UVA. Everyone seemed to like those. Plus, a brighter hue of gold/yellow will contrast better against dark green.

Agreed. It's mustard yellow but really looks great on the field. Even though our official color is "old gold", we haven't actually worn old gold unis in quite awhile. We tried the mustard yellow with the new Russell unis back in '09 I think it was, but they didn't stick (which had more to do with the uni design IMO).

Agreed. A lot of time, if it's not shiny, gold just looks like tan.

its about branding. thats how they count it in sports marketing, how many "impressions" did you get. a partial GT is not as good as a whole GT interlocking letter logo according to the experts
