Joe Williams of Douglas County Sentinal says CPJ is the right man for GT

Oh öööö. Well if Joe Williams of the Douglas County Sentinel says it, it must be true.

I've been waiting to hear his opinion. I'm glad he finally came out in support of CPJ. Now I can feel better

Well, I do believe any coach, no matter how talented or charismatic, will have difficulty recruiting to the Institute, even more so in today's social climate...

But, with that said, I believe that CPJ's offense has added an anchor to a recruiting ship with a permanent hole already existing. I hope he can overcome this, but it is my belief he would have had to change his offense more 2-3 years ago to save himself from what I believe will be his fate at the end of the 2014 season.

First logical response. Look at Dodd's last 7 years. They were horrible.

LOLWTF??? Dodd had a record of 49-23-2 from 1959-66. For some reason, the columnist didn't include Dodd's 9-2 final season in '66. I'll take that "horrible" record any day.

Of course you'll take it. All of us would take it.

But the question is 'who is going to give it to you?'

I don't understand why that author and others seem to think that GT is Johnson's end goal. If he's the football mastermind that they say he is (that's a big if, but for the sake of argument), why would he stay at GT? Why would he not want to test his presumed badassery at a school that cares about football or in the NFL?

Again, not saying I think Johnson would succeed in the NFL, but the people who say he's a genius also think GT is his Graceland, which doesn't make any sense at all.

PJ's been calling his friends in the media, trying to get some puff pieces. So far he's only found two, and they're in Nebraska and Douglas County.

Not disagreeing with you entirely, but at least in terms of coach's salary, we care more about football than 85% of FBS programs.

Wonder how that would look if you compare total budget alloted to coaching staff. CPJ has no OC which would be the 2nd or 3rd highest paid coach on most staffs.

Thanks Joe

Was at Tech for Dodd's 61 thru 66 seasons. Some good, some not so good . Hi light was 7-6 over Bama. The last season was good numbers wise but remember how we finished that year.

Why don't the more experienced posters post more?

Is it the ridicule by minors on here?

Seriously, you should post more often.
