Who gets drafted first?

Smelter easily I think, no disrespect to Waller. They both know how to play physical but Smelter is much faster.

I'm not so sure. Waller will play TE at the next level, and he's got great attributes for that position.

I think Waller will make a solid NFL tight end. I'm thinking 5th round for him. Smelter is probably a 3rd rounder, maybe a late second.

Uhhhh you do understand that the TE is sometimes asked to block big mean defensive linemen and linebackers...not just tiny DBs.

Being a nice guy doesn't really translate to NFL TE.

No hate...I like the kid...it is more of a statement on your football knowledge

IMHO, Smelter in the middle 3rd round. Currently, Waller falls into the "in betweens." He doesn't have Sunday afternoon speed for a WR and doesn't play or currently have the size of a TE at the next level.

If he spent more significant time in the Weight Room for both mass and strength as well as gaining big manhandling skills, he might get some positive looks at the Combine (assuming he got an invite) or at Tech's Pro Day.

I asked a simple question to see what folks think. Since you are most likely not an NFL GM, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you are no expert either.

Doesn't take an expert to know that Waller is not going to get drafted.

No disrespect to the kid, of course.

Never claimed to be...you're the one offering the opinion that he would be a NFL TE...and I in return offered the opinion that he doesn't block like a NFL TE. You called me a hater because I disagreed with you...what are you a democrat?

Waller is not getting drafted.

Agree. Waller has nice size but he isn't really an NFL athlete, too stiff and lacks explosive skills. He struggles adjusting to balls that aren't perfectly thrown.

Smelter is good - very smooth and makes everything look natural. He can be physical, is a good after the catch, and has great hands.

When did I call you a hater? I said there were a lot of haters ITT. Which is a typically humorous commentary used in internet forums. Didn't mention you or anyone by name.

I also never said Waller would get drafted before Smelter, or even at all.

I just wanted to see what other folks thought. You know, to have some discussion. On an internet. discussion. forum.

Are any of the OL gonna get drafted? I ask because this is the strongest OL I've seen in years(I don't know their years tho)
