he crossed the front of the line before he was down, then when he went down the ball ended up not across the line, but he did cross beforehand

thats why the review is taking so long, they gotta figure out the clock and stuff

Can they overturn this? They cant be sure his knee is not touching the ground before it crossed the plane.

Edit: Yup, thought so. They cannot confirm that the knee did not touch the ground, so you have to say it stands.

Also, unlike other sports, NCAAF (dont know about NFL) doesnt have synchronized cams, so I don't believe they can combine the knowledge from 2 different cams.
 
the replay rules are bullcrap. everyone knows he scored, but because they were idiots during the live play they cant reverse it?? whats the point? the point is to reverse it when they blow the call. its not a "confirming" attempt, it was set up to reverse mistakes.

So was it a TD? Gametracker has given the ball back to ND with no points on the board for LSU
 
pretty terrible call. he was in. even if you can't see both the ball and the knee at the same time, you can see where the ball was from the other angle and see his knees were up.

they could easily timestamp the film and match it directly from a time code also. they probably do that for the security cameras, but not for the official game review? weak sauce

Yeah, they don't. I'm not sure how you blame refs for that. The problem is with the NCAA here (or whoever makes the rules for the replays). By rule, that had to stand as called.
