Richt

Beating us (on a the worst year we've had in two decades) or securing a top rated QB (when can't convince your fan base that as the winningest coach in your history, you can actually coach up talent) won't matter in the long run.

Realistically, I don't think it matters if we beat them in the framework of this conversation... He's already been fired if it is going to happen. i.e., the decision has been made. It's all just window dressing at this point.

I have a feeling UGAg is gonna get a late flag in the game to help them along. Unlike the prior bullshit late flag when Bobo was QB, we will likely deserve the one we get.

Do you think he put on the king head when he woke him up?

I imagine it will be the end of the road for ole Mr. Helen Hunt if we beat them, however if they win out he might stick around another season, or may not who knows what those mutts are up to out there in Athens!

I would caution everyone with the following: the dwag faithful are both far less informed and far less important with regards to their athletic program than they like to think they are, and are not shy about exposing their own self-importance and stupidity in public forums. If it looks like, by all indications, that everyone in the UGA fanbase knows something, that's probably just dogs barking at dogs barking.

I'm pretty sure that not only is Richt going nowhere, but he's also going to have his contract extended.

I'm picturing the family in the living room, it's very quiet. Richt stares at them, smiling, during a very long silence. The father weeps softly. After much too long, the coach grins broadly for a moment and says "I believe I'll go.. untuck.. Jacob." He stands up and walks slowly down the hall to Eason's room, never taking his eyes off the parents until the door has closed behind him.

An hour or so passes. The family doesn't move the entire time. The father has soiled himself and he flinches horribly when Richt emerges from his son's bedroom in a black jersey he wasn't wearing when he went in. He walks even more slowly back to the front door, still never breaking eye contact. Before he leaves, his smile suddenly vanishes as he whispers "The F-150 SuperCrew is the first large truck to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick. Did you know that? That's built Ford tough. Welcome to Bulldog Nation."

"Hey, Jacob, buddy. I drove all day to see ya. You saw we beat Auburn on Saturday, right? Looks like I'm gonna be around a little while longer. Let me see your phone; I wanna add you on Snapchat."

*takes phone*
*deletes Florida contacts*

"Here you go, pal. By the way, I made you some pancakes for breakfast. Only champions get pancakes."

As a kid watching that bullshit, will never forget Ron Rogers slamming chairs on the ground. Phantom bullshit interference.

while Jacob slept in Richt visited with his parents and sister.

well hey there young fella! them is some muscly hamstrings you got there. I got a whole freezer full of popcicles.

I wonder if CPJ ever visited a prized recruit in this fashion.

This is the truth.

The only way Richt gets canned is if he loses to both GaSou and us. Coaches who win 9 or 10 games a year don't get fired unless they are Bo Pellini. Richt has given them the most sustained success they've had. But UGA fans, for some reason, feel entitled to beat teams like Bama, Tennessee, and Florida, even though history should tell them to expect otherwise.

quite a few of my Mutt buddies are starting to think that they might let Richt go if he loses to us and go after Kirby Smart. they seem to be worried that they will miss out on him if they dont go after him soon

Kirby is not a proven Head Coach. He could be a bust like Muschamp. To me that is a risk and one I hope they take

I talked to Knox Culpepper the other day and he said the letter winners had given up and want a change, many aren't going to games the last couple of years. They like MR as a person but want him gone. Says support is eroding fast from within for what it's worth.
