I know we called off the dogs, but I still dont know why Choice couldnt have got 1 or 2 more carries to get a chance at 200 yards rushing.

I hate to complain after such a stellar performance but this one just irks me a little.

Because winning the next game is more important than any personal statistic.

You think Chan wishes that he gave Hollings one less carry against BYU that year?

Exactly Contact, all I could keep thinking about was Tony Hollings in '02. So maybe Choice goes in there, rushes for 10 yards on his 27th carry and rolls an ankle.....or worse. Would have been nice but he got his career high with 196 so I'm voting for "let's keep him healthy and rested when the game's in the bag."

What difference would 200 really make? Do you think TC is bothered by it?

Sure, it would have been nice to see TC hit the 200 yard plateau --but in the grand scheme of things and as 'ncj' and 'contact' have already touched upon, what does it really matter --and it certainly would not be worth it to see your top RB go down with the score 26-3 in the 4th. Smart decision by CCG.

It is not like Chan has a stat tracker on the sidelines with him. He probably didn't even know that TC was only 4 yards away from 200.

If it irks you, then you need to rethink your priorities in life. What an idiotic thing to say. He had over 200+ yards on the game, with 196 rushing. I for one am glad they didn't leave him in there for him to risk injury. Don't know if you noticed it or not but Ziblowski was taking cheap shots on all of our players late in the game.

Had Gailey left him in and he got injured, would you be calling Gailey an idiot? Probably so.

If CCG left him in and he got hurt, you would have been the first to bitch.

Lets see, he left Tony Hollings in the game against BYU, and I defended that move to leave him in the game on this board 4 years ago.

So I doubt it. But I certainly didn't complain when they pulled TC before he went over 200.

I wish he had pulled him earlier. We need to keep TC fresh and let the frosh get lots of carries. Great game by TC and good call by CG IMO.
