Remember when JT could do no wrong?

Coit, I didn't know you played the drums?

But he didn't do our OL any favors with his poor footwork. He needs to step up into the pocket. He has improved at throwing the ball away, but still took to many deep sacks by fading backwards.

IMHO, he seldom had a pocket and when he did he likely was gun-shy from the numerous times he got pounded.

I'm still appalled at the regression of the OL from what I saw at the OB. I'm hopeful for a significant improvement but not yet too optimistic.

There were plenty of times this year when he did have a pocket, but he rolled out into a rushing DE.

Sure there were times he had no pocket, but the were times when taking a step or two up would have given him time to make the throw or at worst take a 3 yard sack. Instead he rolled out and took a 12 yard sack.

Yes, all this. I hope that he just lost his composure this year at times. But this is why you give your backup more snaps during the season, win or lose. Sometimes you need a break to get your head back on straight.
