My brother-in-law knows a bartender, who once flew on a plane with Jacob Easons dogsitter, who told him that Jacob Eason told him he was flipping to UF. The next great messiah at UGAg could possibly not be at UGAg.

Don't we know that if it's on SDS, then it has to be true?

I wonder if Eason will back off on his plans to early enroll to wait and let the dust settle a bit.

Seems crazy to me that the West coast schools wouldn't be higher on his preference list.

Maybe his family's from the southeast?

And the other weird part of the story is that Eason would visit UGA this weekend? What the hell for? Who is he going to talk to?

Widely known that his plan is to play in the SEC due to the corner backs he will see. His dad has commented that they are the closest to NFL corners that he can play against in college. Part of the reason you want see him follow St. Richt to Miami.

FWIW, Jacob Eason did start talking to the UF QB coach via Twitter when it the rumors on Richt started getting traction.

He could go anywhere - UGA, UF, Mia. Best to just wait and see at this point. If we are lucky, he goes to UF.

This kid sounds like hes picking a school based on how well it will prepare him for the pros. With Bobo leaving last year and Richt leaving this year it would be strange to still pick UGA for any other reason. With Smart headed to Athens I doubt they run anything but the pro set, but do you risk partnering up with an OC you don't have a relationship with? And given Bama/Saban's track record of using QBs as game managers, do you risk Smart doing the same?

My money is on him flipping, but I doubt he'll do it until Smart picks an OC and pitches him on staying.

Hasn't the "OMG SEC" myth been debunked enough? They're 1-7 against rivals the last two years.

If not for Kaya at Miami, I would bet he's a slam dunk for them. It might still happen anyway.

Wherever he goes, I still expect him to enroll early so that he can go through spring practice.

Smart coached in NFL with Saban, right? I'm sure he can teach Eason all about defensive line and secondaries

If Eason wants to enroll early, Smart isn't going to have time to pick an OC. Smart staying at Bama for the SECCG and potential playoff could cost uga Eason (among many other possible things).

That's why I said he would either have to postpone his enrollment or else he's going somewhere else.

Argument invalid. Unless I missed some, I just counted 15 NFL QB's from SEC and 15 NFL QB's from ACC all on rosters right now. There were even a couple more from current ACC schools that I don't think were ACC when they played there. 5 staring qb's from SEC, 6 starting qb's from ACC, would be 7 if you included Russel Wilson.

Also, who has the best QB's this year, ACC or SEC? I say ACC.

The only way I see him possibly sticking with Ugag is if Alabama somehow loses this weekend. If that happens, Kirby can quickly get his staff together and put the full court press on the kid. Otherwise, I don't see it happening.

Thing is, a lot of Georgie fans are clamoring for Kirby to bring in a spread guy because they are tired of missing out on the Cams, Dobbs, and Deshaun Watsons. So, in reality, they shouldn't be butthurt about this. But they will be, because they just want to have literally everything, even if its logically impossible.

I would play at USC (the real one in California) if I were a hotshot west coast QB - after that, maybe UCLA, Washington or somewhere like that.
