Or just make it to where school is school and all students must meet the same requirements to get in - regardless of athletic ability.

Wouldn't that give more of an incentive for schools to lower academic standards? You don't think some teams would start taking worse students for ten or twenty percent of the student body if it was the only way they could get in football players?

I think that would backfire in the long run. UGAg would become even more like a community college than it already is.

Yes, that's my point. Why do we want to force schools to make a choice between athletic success and overall academic rigor? I have no doubt UGA, Alabama, etc., would definitely lower themselves overall in order to get football players if that's what it took. Hell, I'm sure there would be plenty of Tech fans arguing for it.

I think most GT fans just want a wing of the school for football players so we could get players like Bama gets. We have the advantage of being in Atlanta not Tuscaloser. Just need some studies to put an Alabama style nose tackle in

We should be pushing, like most non-SEC schools for higher entrance standards. What is happening is a race to the bottom for athletics.
