New coach

After that North Carolina defensive performance in the bowl game I'm not too surprised he was available.

I think you'll read that he was not retained by Chizik in Jan 2015.

I can't seem to find what he was doing this fall.

Oh great, he was kicked out for one the worst coached defenses in NCAA history. I feel much better now.

He was o-line coach under tommy bowden. That doesn't get me too excited.

so many ööööing whiney bitches in this place. dammit, be a Bammer fan you Huntsville douchebag if you are gonna whine about people before they even set foot on campus. stfu already or go stand near a jet engine or something you blowhard

Seems obvious that the Sewak ankle bite technique still rules the day, and perhaps the only guy they could get to go along with this is someone who did not even coach last year.

did you read my previous post and feel obligated to respond because you knew it was people like you i was talking about? next, i expect cincyjacket to make another miserable anti-Tech post lust like texloser and aerbagyech

perhaps they are actually one really upset dude with multiple fonts...

Welcome to the offseason from hell ... :crapstorm:

My problem with this hire is that he is another older coach that is a part of the staff. We need more young, energetic, positive energy coaches for this team

The offseason before the 2014 season was an offseason from Hell also, IIRC.

Just saying...

Well I like the move. We all know we're not changing our primary offensive scheme, and nor should we. We have been one of the best 5 or 10 offenses in the country, on average. However, pass blocking has ranged from bad to REALLY, REALLY BAD and needs to be fixed. So we compromised by keeping Sewak but adding someone to help with pass protection.

Corndog, you mad?

he's still mad about Woody Danzler's 418 yards of total offense against Tech in 2001

Overall, Dantzler played awesome, rushing 25 times for 164 yards and completing 18 of 32 pass attempts for 254 yards. Dantzler also ran for two scores and threw for another pair. The McKelvey pitch and catch was unbelievable, as it came late in the contest and was executed on 4th down. This one was truly an offensive shootout, and Clemson had a little more firepower than their ACC foe.

Sept. 29, 2001: Clemson 47, Georgia Tech 44 in overtime (at Bobby Dodd Stadium)
In a game Tiger coach Tommy Bowden called "the biggest road win for Clemson in 20 years," quarterback Woody Dantzler scored the game-winner in overtime and sent a Georgia Tech team with national-title aspirations into a tail spin. The Yellow Jackets led by 12 points late in the second quarter before Dantzler took over. He scored on a 38-yard run on the final play of the half and added three more scoring runs after halftime, including the overtime game-winner

The 2001 meeting between the Tigers and the Yellow Jackets may have been the greatest game ever played at Bobby Dodd Stadium, despite who came out on the winning end. The No. 25 Tigers were limping into Atlanta after a heartbreaking loss to Virginia while No. 11 Georgia Tech entered the game undefeated. The Georgia Tech defense had not surrendered more than seven points in each of its first three games and also had an offense that could light up the scoreboard.

i like it too. given that defenses like to change the scheme on us during games, i think having an OL coach with experience on the D-side is huge
