Auburn | UCF | Georgie Tech

I think even the most positive GT fan in the world would still give this past season an F. I mean, I recognize that a lot of things didn't go our way (namely injuries), and I still even enjoyed tailgating and going to the games...but that doesn't take away from the fact that this season scored a hard F.

What's the difference between an F and a "hard F"?

USA Today is pretty lame, but I can't argue with that grade. Auburn fans may have more of a beef. They did beat a couple of decent teams in Louisville, A & M, and Memphis. We were a miracle play away from being winless against Power 5. It is what it is, and you don't extra credit for injuries.

...the rest was A for effort F for performance.

Watching the OL this year giving them an A for effort is quite a bit a stretch. Diving on the ground and opening the flood gates to me is not good effort, but that's just me.

15' is over lets see what kind of off season we have so we can be excited about 16'

but they are being taught to dive....thats the scheme...so for me the effort for diving is high LOL

the whole blocking scheme is bad...and its been like this for years....when did we like our OL execution? Maybe .5 of one year....

lets see how paul changes it for 2016 like he is hinting

Gamble & Austin get an A+ for the only excitement we had this season...the rest was A for effort except for the O-line, F for performance.

We had pass plays where we literally blocked no DL. That isn't and A for effort. That is not knowing you öööö. And a for effort would be blocking the wrong guy or getting beat. Excluding Burden, our OL was a solid F for not knowing what the F to do.

Our DL born in the northern hemisphere also get an F. Those guys held blocks like legos.

Did we earn a participation trophy and a snack?

Nah, the participation trophies are given to those "lucky" 6 win teams that are rewarded with bowl games to exotic places like Albuquerque, Mobile, El Paso, or similar locales. An added bonus would be playing outdoors in a cold rain, with 20 MPH winds. Snacks would include the local fare.

Frig,
Glad you responded.Question--does losing one excellent player (Shaq) account for the huge drop-off in blocking/running success last yr? New bbacks? bad replacement for Shaq? what do you think?

F? Was so hoping they'd grade on a curve again. Hope we don't have to repeat this class.

It took a miracle for us to avoid being winless against Power Five teams.

I will become concerned the year that we go 3 - 12 and we don't get an F. At least getting an F means that Tech is a team that is expected to do much better than we did in 2015.

Losing a leader can hurt you only in the beginning, hopefully through winter, spring and summer workouts another leader/leaders will step up. This is not a knock on our lineman but I had the opportunity to watch the SoCon the last four years and a few of those teams ran the option, I never saw those kids block like GT did. I believe two things. Sewak is the problem and we are not recruiting top notch lineman only lineman that the coaches think they can coach up. Sewak can't do that. There comes a time personally that you have to care about what your performance looks like and I just don't see that. Maybe the beat each other during the week and don't have the energy on Saturday, I just don't know.

3-12? So, we only get 3 regular season wins but still get invited to (and lose) the ACCCG, the First Round of the CFP and the CFP Championship game? I'd have to give the system a big fat F for that.

I prefer to think we go 0-12 in the regular season, but are so impressive we are moved into the ACC title game, which we win, then into the Semi-finals, which we win, then NATIONAL CHAMPS.
