Where are you Jahi cheerleaders?

I mentioned earlier in the year that all of our corners were awful cover corners. Most of the replies that I got came to his defense saying "Jahi has improved so much" "Jahi is a solid cover corner" etc. I'm here to tell u, all of our corners, including Jahi, are awful cover corners, plain and simple. I know Jahi went out early again, and I know that he is better than Pat Clark.....but that doesn't make him good. Even before Davie was rippin on Clark for being so lousy, he was rippin on Jahi also b/c he was getting abused as well. And now everyone wants to just say how bad Pat Clark is getting Tech killed. Jahi is too. Do u guys believe me now, or will u come to his rescue with sympathy and say what a great corner he is, simply because he got sick and didn't have to sit there for 4qtrs and get abused like he did in the first qtr?

Instead of having 6 qbs and 9rbs on the roster, maybe we should recruit more cover corners....it would make sense considering the fact that Tenuta's style of defense leaves the corners out on an island. Maybe that would just make too much sense. Tenuta's lack of adjustments hurts Tech in these kinds of games. I know it was hard for the D b/c they were on the field ALL NIGHT, but he makes no adjustments EVER. "We'll just keep coming until we get to him" Should've made some adjustments.

They all looked horrible. But having another trick in the defense bag besides blitz every time might help also. To use in situations where the O-Line is holding up and the opposing QB is throwing rockets.

The problem is we have no more tricks. Our blitz is our defense.
 
It's frustrating to watch sometimes, Tenuta never plays a cover 2 with the corners up. Its known around the conference how to disect Tenuta's scheme: 8-12 yd curl routes, or out routes, because the corners are playing behind them.
 
Sorry, but you're an idiot. Jahi is our best cover corner, and he's not bad. After he went out of the game is when our defense REALLY started sucking. Clark is the one that can't cover anyone. They picked on him all night, he missed tackle after tackle. I wish Jahi could have been in there...we might have won the game.

did u watch the game or not? Did u not see Jahi getting abused BEFORE he got "ill". Read the entire post before u start callin people out genius. Jahi is, by far, better than P.Clark, but that, by no means, makes him good, or even close to it. Thanks for your time. This was fun.
 
It's amazing how people don't understand how our defense works. When we're blitzing 6 and not getting any pressure on the QB we'd need Deion on one side and Darrell Green on the other to stop the pass.

Our defensive scheme is to go 1 v 1 and force the QB to throw it early with pressure. BC's game plan was to hold on every play, and get first downs on the plays that the refs didn't call holds, to compensate for the plays that they did call holds. It worked, and it made our corners look bad.

There was no safety help any time we rushed 6, and playing Cover Zero all night is always going to make a corner look bad.
