Not that it's my place to say this....

BarrelOfRum I posted your same sentiment on the hive, but the response they gave me was "omg, they're going to use your post against recruits if you say something bad about tech!"

I could have told you they would say that. Hivers tend to fall all over their self importance.

Really, I played football at Georgia Southern pal and I didn't care what people thought about me. I had a job to do and I did it. Didn't matter to me what the fans thought.

Anything else you wanna add?

It's really easy to take that position when you are with a program that was dominating in the early 90's. It just didn't happen. On the other hand, when we have fans yelling that some player sucks, it might not effect the player, but think of his family. How would you like to hear about how your child sucks when he is working hard at a position he never intended to play? I was on the scout team for Ross' first two years and we as a team sucked. I agree that you have to go out and do your job, but in this case, Clark has done everything he can to help the team. Why does he deserve the criticism. Obviously, the coaches don't have a better option. How does it help Tech for some Alabama redneck to pile on a guy trying to help? They are behaving like the Alabama fans who killed Bill Curry's dogs when they were 10-0 as a warning to what would happen if they lost to Auburn (which they did and Bill went to UK).

I just don't see how it benefits anyone to run down a player who is doing something better than they ever could. I would bet the house that GTFaninBama never could play the position better than Pat Clark. So we should be screaming GTFaninBama sucks.

Ok, when have you heard me calling this kid out? I haven't said anyone sucks. I never said that it was the right thing to do. All I stated was MY personal opinion on the matter of players getting upset because of a certain few members of their fanbase think of them. I'm sure Clark is busting his a$$ at practice everyday. Good for him.

And yes, we were very good in the early '90s. We heard it all the time from wannabes and rednecks about how we weren't good enough to play division 1 ball and how Ugag would kick our a$$ up and down the field. It never bothered me and didn't seem to bother the other guys on the team I hung out with.

It's a fact, there's just some people who will never be satisfied no matter what you do.
