AP game summary doesn't hold back on GT

I hope our new AD is willing to dramatically expand our recruiting budget, because we are way behind in the number of bodies and it shows.

It's not as bad as it seems. We certainly need to improve to meet our ultimate goal, but this is not another 3-9 team. If you throw in the towel because a top-5 beat you by 19, you need to quit watching football and go back to your safe space.

Maybe Stingtalk needs a "safe space" forum where there is only mention of rainbows and kittens.

We definitely were not competitive last night, but Clemson is a legit top 5 team. No one in their right mind believes we are on that level. It showed. That does not mean we'll go 3-9 though...

Tech looked absolutely terrible on offense. Thankfully the refs were holding their flags on pass interference calls or it could have been worse. After the pick safety I was like you gotta ööööing be kidding me and turned it off. Maybe Tech played better in the 2nd half but I didn't see it. They looked like total dookie on offense. A rushing team with around 4 yards rushing in the first half is playing out of their league and the whole time with "the best option QB CPJ has had at Tech". Doesn't look too promising. At least Tech can still beat Vandy, and hope they can stop the Duke streak! Did I just say that? öööö!!!

I weigh all of our losses against 51-7. how many first half yards did we have in that demonstration of football prowess?
I remember that game well. Certainly the low point of the last 20 years...

Dood. We had 25 yards rushing in the first half. -3 passing. Although we did get about 10 of those rushing yards on the last play.

And we won the second half, 7-3. Dabo the clown played his starters the entire game, including the game ending drive. He only let up when we stopped them for a 3rd down with under 30 seconds to play.

Maybe. I could research post history on a couple of fonts I don't recognize if I were that interested in it. Sometimes it's hard for me to differentiate between borderline Tech fans and dwag sleeper cells.

Let me save you some time on researching me in particular since you are apparently too busy posting and aren't interested anyway.

What doesn't matter regarding my posting:
- This is my 31st post on this site
- Most have been non-game specific posts on broader topics
- My post count (or anyone else's post count) on this board

What does matter regarding my posting:
- I have been associated with GT for 38 years as a student, alumnus and parent
- I have a bachelors and masters from GT - they taught me well and set me up for success in the business world
- My two oldest children are GT grads and my third is a student - I believe in GT
- I have gladly given and paid significant sums of money to GT over the last thirty years - I invest in what I believe in
- I have been a football season ticket holder for 20+ years
- GT taught me to call out "hot garbage" when I see it, and I saw it in large quantities last night on offense

Uh. Last year.

Sorry - meant "A Thursday night game against a non-High School opponent".
I.E. Defeating mighty Alcorn State (had to look it up - had forgotten that meaningless stat-bumper game) isn't a game anyone remembers. Is that CPJ's only Thursday night win?

We won the 2nd half, lol.

But, uhh, only by 4 points.

According to some here and elsewhere, that BC defense was one of the best in the country.

We'll see by season's end.

Since CPJ has been here, 3 schools have made better hires (clem, fsu, duke). Miami probably too. Only 1 of those guys would be successful at Tech.
