The question now.....

Hope you are correct, but how do you see our football team going in the right direction? Seems as if recruiting is better the last year and this year's commits. And we do not seem to lose as many on signing day.
But as far as trending up, the next 2 weeks will tell a boatload. The last 9 years we are only winning about 59% of our games. We are 14-24 vs our big 5 opponents. Hope that will change very quickly
But Todd seems to be a no nonsense guy who will lead. Hope he learned from O'L and stands up to the Hill.
The "big five" is a bull öööö, cherry picked, CPJ haters category. What is his record against Power 5? That's the most representative of teams of our stature.
I was mad as hell and drunk last night so I wanted to fire CPJ. Now I've had time to calm down, I still realize our talent problem isn't a coaching problem, it's a school problem. Hopefully the new AD can convince our pussy of a President to make Tech more accomdating for student athletes.

The offense hasn't known wtf is going on since January 2015, and these kids take calculus by their sophomore year! (read: unironically)

What's to "know", when the guy lined up against you is bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic?

Dude I don't want my degree devalued just so you can feel better and smack talk that Uga grad who is making your mocca latte every morning.

The value of your degree is what you do with it, not what the football team does. Think there are any Stanford alums bemoaning the success of their football program. Last i checked, their school>our school, on and off the field.....

It won't hurt the EE degree, or any other highly rated degree, one bit to have a few degrees that are a bit more accommodating to athletes.

I wish Stansbury the best. I hope he'll do a good job.

He's got three main tasks - wrangle the big hitter alums, mediate coaching/recruiting and the Hill, and build a competent marketing/operations org.

Seems like there's a lot of confidence he can do the first thing. Let's pray he can do the other two.

Listening to him speak, he is going to do everything he can to right the ship. I am excited for the future!

Three ACCCG game appearances 1-2
Two BCS/NY6 Bowl appearances 1-1
Two victories at UGAg
7-2 vs. ranked opponents at home.
3 seasons of 9 wins or more

Short of Ross and the NC and O'Leary's 3-0 run against the Mutts, show me a Tech coach that as accomplished more since Dodd.
THIS. And outside of a Saban like coach, there's nobody out there that could do what CPJ has with what talent we get. GT is a tough school to get in, and the option makes it hard to recruit. And yet we typically overachieve when you look at our preseason predictions.

:bigcry:

Bring Calvin in as an assistant to football operations, or whatever theyre calling it these days. Imagine having calvin on the sidelines, out recruiting, or even just making weekly appearances

I don't know if we can afford Calvin.

You can literally buy a 4.0 at Stanford.

I personally know the value of a UNC degree has been devalued. I bin UNC resumes with Georgia State and FSU now - basically, I pass all of them over unless they are absolute superstars. I used to consider them on par with Emory/Michigan.

Hard to believe the school is good at anything when they can't verify their own classes and student schedules are legit.

You are doing God's Work, sir.

Calvin will be able to show off his DWTS crystal ball trophy to recruits.
