CPJ haters

I never learn my lesson. We go in a losing streak and then I immediately start blaming the offense, fully forgetting that teams with modern offenses can also play badly and/or go on losing streaks.
Yes, I can't tell you how many times I have seen a team line up for a 4th and goal or 4th and 1 in the pistol or shotgun formation and lose 3 yards while I sit there going "What the öööö is that?"

I know that we have Jordan. But I think he'll be pressed a lot for that job

Competition is good. Jordan will probably be working his ass off to improve his passing technique this offseason. He's already got the running part down.

Definitely. We have more potential QB's now than we have in many, many years....like forever. Normally, we have one good QB and kinda worry he is gonna get hurt all season long

One Orange Bowl Championship (and another appearance), one ACC Championship, 4 Coastal division championships, 3 State Championships, 1 8-win season, 2 9-win seasons and 2 11-win seasons in 9 years! No one besides Dodd has ever had that kind of sustained success at GT.
Plus, one can argue that we have a tougher row to hoe than back in the day. As a young fan, we always had 7-8 home games. Georgia was not a power yet, both Mississippi s at home. UF was weak, so your three really tough games were BAMA, Tennessee, and AU/GA, depending on the year.

My thoughts exactly. They are a one trick pony until they have to get a yard or run out the clock.

CPJ is the 2nd best coach in the history of our school only by virtue that national championships are harder to come by these days. Anyone that can accept that will have to come to terms with the fact that he has raised the ceiling for our program and not every year will hit that ceiling. As far as I am concerned, CPJ can take the Bill Snyder/Steve Spurrier route here.

Amen Brother!! I have had season tickets since Dod was coach. Our "fans" who want to fire our coach don't appreciate what Paul has done for our program. Except for 1990, this is the best coaching tenure and performance since Dodd was here and I have seen it all...... AND the best offense we have had as well. You guys that want to put down our coach and program should just go pull for some else with expectations that are unreasonable...maybe like UGAG. How has dogging their coach worked out for them.... Just saying!

Can't even enjoy our very good season and bowl victory because of your negativity. You are attempting to kill the goose that laid the "Golden" egg. Grow Up!

Interesting stat:

CPJ started 0-4 in bowls at Tech.
But, now CPJ is 3-1 in last 4 bowls.

Sun, Orange and Gator bowl wins, pretty good.

Some of those losses too...muffed punts to Air Force with like 6 starters out. And the meltdown against Utah late only to lose in OT.

All the credit in the world to him for stepping up against VT and goal line situations all season. I hope he's the answer and gives us 4th and Jordan next year.

That being said, he had a lot of good fortune this year. Go back and watch our TD on the first drive against BC - looked like he thought it was supposed to be a rocket toss while the rest of the team was blocking for QB keeper and he happened to realize it quick enough and get to the edge. Could be an epic fake. And could of been the ABs fault. But still, could have been a disaster given how hard points were coming that game.

And I'm still dumbfounded how we dominated Foster and VT with an offense that wasn't even running option plays for 2+ quarters. Both of our long TDs were called plays. And we only ran triple a handful of times that I could see - although I'll admit I'm no expert. Seriously, he was tossing up ducks, we weren't running the option, we had three true frosh on the OL, and we had our best offensive day against them under CPJ. Didn't make any sense. But I'll take it again next year if he can repeat that magic.

Coit, you like to spell-check the board, so maybe you're not joking?

3-1 in last 4 bowl games after 0-4 start. Extremely glad to see improvement in that department.
