Maybe I'm looking wrong and please correct me if so, but if Hawaii loses, it makes it more likely that Boston College could stay in the BCS pool and thus further making it likely that we could play in Music City.

All the projections have been broken, we need to reset the mechanism.

I would guess Arizona State would take Hawaii's spot over BC.

However you are correct that Hawaii losing and falling out of the BCS would increase our chances of going to Nashville.

Hawaii is already getting ripped 21-0 in the first @WASH.

BC would fall less and they may stay in the Top 12, keeping them alive to go to a BCS bowl. But the odds are dropped by how poorly they travel. Like the man said, ASU would be a likely replacement.

Hawaii just put it on the field turf again. U-Dub up 21 and on the march. What a nightmare beginning to this game.

I may be thinking about this wrong, but wouldn't both BC and ASU be in line for a BCS berth.
Ohio St.
LSU
Ugag
VA Tech
USC
WVU
Kansas
Okla
ASU
and then who? I wouldn't think they would take 3 teams from the same conference. So that would eliminate Florida and Mizzou. So if Hawaii loses, BC should be the next team in line correct? Someone let me know if I am missing something here.

That looks about right, yeah. But Florida would likely get the nod because they travel well.

QFT. Unlike Parole Officer Richt's loophole of "well the BCS doesn't say you have to win your conference to get in," the BCS does say you can't have 3 teams from 1 conf. get it.

Illinois is also out there as an option for the Rose Bowl.

Forgot about the Illini, that would allow the Rose to maintain the Pac10/Big 10 matchup. For our sake, I hope BC does move in to a BCS, and that would prevent us for going out west.

You've got:

ACC- VT
SEC- LSU
Big 10- OSU
Big 12- OU
Pac 10- USC
Big East- WVA

at larges:

UGA
KU
ASU
either BC or ILL

I see:

BCSCG: OSU vs LSU
Sugar: UGA vs KU
Orange: VT vs WVA
Fiesta: OU vs ASU
Rose: USC vs ILL

ILL probably squeezes BC because of the Rose wanting a Pac 10 vs Big Ten game.

Don't sell out on Hawaii just yet. They're on the board at 21-7, still early in the 2nd qtr.

I don't see BC staying in the top 14 at all. The only thing keeping them as high as they were were good computer rankings, which they'll lose now. Even then, I don't expect any of the BCS bowls to be jumping up and down for a 3-loss ACC team (they certainly haven't been in the past).

Anyway, here are my predictions for the BCS, depending on the top 2 and Hawaii:
Scenario 1: LSU, OSU, Hawaii
Title: LSU vs. Ohio State
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Sugar: Georgia vs. Hawaii
Rose: USC vs. Illinois

Scenario 2: OSU, UGA, Hawaii
Title: Ohio State vs. Georgia
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Sugar: LSU vs. Hawaii
Rose: USC vs. Illinois

Scenario 3: LSU, OSU, !Hawaii
Title: LSU vs. Ohio State
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Sugar: Georgia vs. Kansas
Rose: USC vs. Illinois

Scenario 4: OSU, UGA, !Hawaii
Title: Ohio State vs. Georgia
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Sugar: LSU vs. Kansas
Rose: USC vs. Illinois

After more consideration, Illinois would definitely get the other at-large spot, providing Hawaii falls tonight. As someone else already said, Mizzou and Fla cannot go because they can't take 3 teams from the same conference. To be eligible for an at large berth, the team must be within the top 14 of the bcs rankings. Illinois would move up in to the top 14 and BC would probably be worse than the top 14. So this would require the BCS to take Illinois over BC.

Even if BC does stay in the top 14, who would pick them after they only sold about 3500 tickets for the ACCCG?

Yeah, that's my whole point/problem. Their fanbase probably has issues with going to a sports bar to watch the game. I doubt they'll sell their allotment for a BCS game.

So basically what we are saying is that the Hawaii game will have bearing in where we go bowling.

It won't matter for one reason.

I'm also a Husky fan and I can assure you that based on their performance this season, they will find a way to lose this game. They have a real knack for letting leads get away from them.
