If PJ can snag a guy like this that would make an explosive offense. Guy is 5 foot 9 and 165 pounds. Ran for nearly 1850 yards and can throw too.
 
Well, we have this guy on our roster...his name is Josh Nesbitt...
 
If Nesbitt only had Foster's speed. Jayson runs a legit, laser timed 4.3. Get a couple of kids who can run like him, and GT will light up that scoreboard like a pinball machine.
 
Jayson Foster was a running machine. It was obvious he didnt have the size though. His dancing killed him a few times.
 
back in the day...i would chase him down on the basketball court and toss his stuff. On the football field, he has single handedly given me 2 sprained ankles. One in 6th grade recreational and one in Highschool.

How durable do you think a kid that size would be playing a BCS schedule week in and week out?

really depends. Joe Hamilton was small like Jayson. But Joe didn't get hit every single play either like most TO QB's do.
 
Joe was a lot more durable his senior year than his junior one. He put on a lot of pounds in the weight room in the off season, in order to survive FSU his senior year. He was also a really small dude. 5 foot 10 was an exaggeration.

So it can be done, for sure.
 
Wait. Hatcher had his QB return punts? Wow, talk about the Anti-Chan...
 
Here's one for you guys.

Jayson Foster is the only player in NCAA history to:

Run for a TD over 80 yards
Pass for a TD over 80 yards
Catch a TD pass for over 80 yards
Return a Kickoff for a TD over 80 yards
Return a Punt for a TD over 80 yards

Now, I know this is a GT forum, and it's not about GSU or Jayson Foster, who will probably win the Walter Payton Award (the 1-AA equivalent of the Heisman) on Thursday night.

This is the kind of player that can star in PJ's offense. Most of the time this size guy would be a slotback, but there are lots of 5'10"-6'0" lightening fast QBs out there that many of the bigger schools want for DB. PJ just mentioned two on his 680 radio interview: White from WVU and the QB at Ilinois. Most big schools recruited Tracy Ham as a DB, but Erk Russell told him he wanted him to play QB.

Johnson won't be signing any 6'5" QB who are dropback passers and can't run. He'll find smart kids who can really run and then he'll find them a place to play.

Anti-Chan isn't always bad. And this is one of those situations. I can't count on 2 hands the number of reasons this would be stupid at the D1A level (if that is what you're insinuating)

Not really. I was just saying it was anti-chan... the opposite of Chan.

Gailey puts a walkon at PR and Hatcher puts his star QB at PR.
 
Hatcher would not let Foster return KO this season, but he felt that there was less danger in having him return punts.
 
That Foster video doesn't include the last game at Colorado State, where he rushed for 195 yards and three more TD.

It should be noted that Hatcher has only played QB this season and as a sophomore. Sewak and Van Gorder had him playing WR and returning kicks the other two years.
