Clem's son loses one

Pro style QB? Too bad Dabo is probably blocking him from transferring to GT. We could develop Pistol options for him.

We should target the UNC QB that transferred to a JUCO in Mississippi, Logan Byrd. He's big with a strong arm and has some wheels. If we were to land him we would have 2 of the top three QBs to come out of Houston County (Warner Robins) in the last 3 years. It would be great for attracting more fans to Tech from Central Georgia.

The kid can't be dumb if he's looking at Northwestern and Purdue. Maybe he saw an education for what it is?

It’s believed that Johnson ... is eyeing Northwestern or Purdue as potential transfer destinations."

He was going to be 3rd or potentially even 4th string. He's mobile but not an option guy. I imagine he'll do pretty well wherever he ends up.

Anyone want to put odds on him a) being interesting in Tech, and b) being academically qualified?

This kid was supposed to be the best QB in the country last year. Wow. Guess he thinks better route to NFL via pro offense which is true if you can't run with the others.

I think its about playing time rather than offense. Clemson also snagged the #1 QB in this year's class, Trevor Lawrence (Fields actually ended up #2 in the end) who is a 6'5" pro style QB in the mold of a Matt Ryan. Dabo is not wed to a particular offensive philosophy. He has just had a bunch of dual threat guys recently.

Any evidence of this sentiment? Seems very unlikely to me.
I doubt it's true. Typical to block the player from transferring to future opponents. Even if it's extremely unlikely, imagine the bad press if he leads a GT or a Boston College to victory over Clemson.

Of course Dabo is not going to let a 5 star qb go to an opponent they play every year when one loss could cost them a playoff spot. For what? To demonstrate his eternal superiority over us? Absurd notion. Coaches dont think that way. Every team on their schedule is a threat.

The last couple of years the term "franchise quarterback" has been thrown around pretty loosely. Why not join the parade, get drafted, get paid, and maybe never play a down on Sunday? NFL GM's and owners have bought in completely to the idea that in order to when they have to find the next Peyton Manning or Troy Aikman. The landscape is littered with Sam Bradfords, Mike Glennons, and the like. Soon Rosen, Darnold, and Josh Allen will join the club.

Any evidence the kid wants to come to GT? Any evidence of anything on this board?

Evidence that it was posted "Too bad Dabo is probably blocking him from transferring to GT."

Perhaps the question can be put to that poster?

He was obviously joking and youre trolling . Lol. No one thinks the kid would come here and no one can reasonably think Dabo wouldnt object if he did.
