Are we sure we want to know in advance every kickoff time?

If we play more than 2 noon home games i will punch somebody
 
Other than ööööing up the pleasure of grilling, I enjoy starting the alcohol consumption at 7:30.

What a great schedule.

BTW, I'd happily take all 1:00-1:30 game times if we could know them at the beginning of the season. That's my biggest pet peeve about CFB these days – not knowing game times in advance.

Also, that was a tough, tough season. I remember that Notre Dame tie. Huge upset and great game. In my mind, still feels like the biggest 'win' I've ever attended. Kinda like FSU in 2015, only we were a lot worse and ND was a lot better.
 
Our fans must have been a lot tougher in 1980. 1:30 is hotter than noon. I don’t remember any complaining about the kickoff times.
 
We played a tougher SEC schedule than anyone in the SEC in 1980.

Of the remaining 5 SEC teams we did not play - none of them played all of the 5 we did.

On the day we played them that year, unc was the best team we played. JMO. Better than ugag on the day we played them.

I never saw a guy take over the field like Lawrence Taylor that day. And later when OU beat them 41 - 7 I was thinking OMG!

And at 10 - 1, the best unc could do was the Bluebonnet Bowl.
 
1:30 kickoffs for home games were second only to the 2:00 kickoffs in the sixties/seventies. Plenty of time to get there. Tailgating is for lunch, not breakfast. You have your Saturday night.

Dodd’s teams always played at 2PM, and typically the coaches and their wives came over to Dodd’s house for steaks after the game.
 
My Dad’s 8th Grade football team at Roosevelt and then later at Dykes would play Saturday mornings at 9. They were finished at the perfect time to use complimentary coach’s passes for the Tech game. Before the Upper West was constructed the high school coaches sat atop bleachers on top of the press box. Sitting up there with all the coaches was terrific fun. After the Tech game we went to the Varsity and bought boxes to take to Grady or Cheyney Stadiums to scout a future Varsity opponent from the press box on Saturday night. Those were perfect Saturdays for a kid with his Dad - three football games, one at Tech, and lots of Varsity food. My Dad lost his sons as potential students for his Alma mater, Auburn, on those days. We both fell in love with Georgia Tech and graduated in ‘77 and ‘82.

Yes snowflakes melt at temps above 32F. The greater generations know how to handle the heat.

As others have said the issue with noon games isn’t the heat it is having to have breakfast tailgates.

Otherwise noon games are fine.

Why can’t you tailgate after the game? Is it a parking rules issue?

These 'great' generations gave birth and raised said snowflakes, not sure you should be bragging about that.
