Stolen from r/cfb:

Fair Catch on the Kickoff: If a kickoff receiver makes a fair catch inside his 20-yard line, his team will have the ball at the 25-yard line - just as if the ball had been caught and downed inside the end zone for a touchback

Penalty Enforcement on Field Goal Plays: There is now an option to keep the three points and enforce the penalty on the kickoff

Blocking Below the Waist: More than five yards beyond the line of scrimmage, any block below the waist is illegal.

Knee Pads and Pants: Knee pads are now required

Pace of Play: The time between the touchdown and the extra point, and between the kickoff return and the first play from scrimmage are shortened by starting the play clock immediately after a touchdown and after the kickoff.

TV Camera on Officials: Any ref is allowed to wear a "cap-cam", subject to the approval of the two teams and the ref's conference.

Are TO teams now screwed because of the new blocking rule? Seems like this might be a problem for our A-backs and receivers...?

The Pace of Play is stupid.

The blocking below the waist is a tough call when players are hitting the deck

How often do we block below the waist more than five yards past the line of scrimmage?

I don’t think the 5 yards is a big deal for us.

Pace of play rule is awesome.

FG penalties is interesting. I think I like it. Until it inevitably fucks us.

This is ridiculous. A whole 'nother strategic element eliminated. It's like we don't even want to play football anymore. Where's a Larry Fedora rant when I need it?

This basically spells the end of returning kicks. All of them will be fair caught. Next, the kickoff itself will disappear as a pointless relic.

Teams would be dumb to fair catch them against us. Our coverage has been awful for years

This but the d backs usually line up relatively close. Roof was the only d coordinator that had them line up ten yards out
But now even at the line, if it’s outside the tackle box you cant cut.
