Who all do we have from this board that live in/around Lake City?

What about Jeff Davis, isn't that where he is?

See, I told you, nothing ever happens in Chiefland. Seriously, I was driving between Tampa and Orlando last night and it was bad. They had shut down the airports for a while and I saw several accidents.

We all good down here in Hazelhurst, mighty windy but no worries.

That stretch of I-4 is the worst in the nation. Crazy drivers! Much worse than both Atlanta or Los Angeles in my experience...

Try it with a 30 mph crosswind and minivan drivers refusing to leave the fast lane, effectively stacking cars up. Throw in some torrential rains and it made for a fun few hours. You would have enjoyed seeing the Celica in the ditch about 5 minutes after he blew by me (I was going 70).

Mover, what happened to M2? Haven't seen him on lately.

Father in Law had Open Heart and they have been busy with that. Plus this is busy time of year for him. I'll get to see him when he comes up for my golf tourney.

Try driving around up North, like PA. I used to drive on I-4 all the time. It would have been an easy drive if they would ever have finished the construction. There's more orange around that road then there is on Tech campus.

PS, I had Jeff Davis for ECE 2030. Would have been a great course, only I got food poisoning on the day we learned about Karnel maps, and thoroughly botched the first exam.

I drove past there on I-75 right after they happened. Missed it by THIS much.

The shoulders were littered with cars who were blown off or hit each other. At first we thought a wrong-way driver had passed through that 10-mile stretch.

Thanks for the inquiry Rome. We are all well in the great metropolis of Chiefland, Florida. As Mover stated we did have a twister about 23 miles from us and some other nasty weather but that was about all.

Lake City did get beat up pretty good though with tornadoes and deaths.

It was 4 BELOW zero when I left Minneapolis to bring my 3.5 year old daughter to enjoy the great weather of the state of Florida. I felt I owed her for freezing her ass off the last 4 globally warmed months. We went to the space launch and it was like sex, 6 seconds of thrill followed by disappointment (the shuttle quickly disappeared into the cloud cover), followed by 2.5 hours of kicking myself (stuck in traffic). The wife was just plain disappointed.

I hope all is going well with your father in law. The last year or so hasn't been the easiest for you. If you want to show that you're a man, come visit next January. There is nothing like 20 below before windchill to separate the men from a UGA grad.

God Bless.

First, thank you for the kind words concerning my father-in-law.

Second, it sounds as if you made a challenge (see bolded words) SIR!! Not only will I take that challenge, BUT I will also jump stark naked into the freezing water of a nearby lake since you all have so many of them up there!!! No way in HELL is a gagger gonna out do A YELLOW JACKET!!!!
