Bradley: Tech wants to keep Johnson. That might not be an option.

It will be interesting if we go 5-7 but one of the remaining wins comes over ugag. Lots of Tech fans (myself included) have long claimed we'd be happy to go 1-11 every year as long as the one was the leghumpers. CPJ would be 3-2 vs them over the last 5 years, which is the best 5 year stretch since the turn of the century, and prior to that since the 60s. Will wins over georgia save his job on their own?
With win over dwags and totally ruining their Natty title hopes? Damn straight CPJ stays!

Take out 2014 and it becomes quite a different list.

That’s the whole point.
Take out 2014 and we are tied for 3rd instead of solo 3rd depending on how many the other teams had and if we had three in 2014.
Still nothing to brag about but it doesn't become quite a different list.

I'd like the see the list of losses vs. teams ending in the top 25.

Or winning percentage vs. teams ending in the top 25.

Would seem to me that playing more teams that ended up in the top 25 is a good way to end up with more wins against them.

How about number of wins vs. teams that were in the top 25 when you played them?

Maybe wins against teams in top 25 before bowl games?

Meaningless stat is meaningless.

This is the kind of öööö that gets sig'ed. This is even more delusional than your normal nonsense man. If you're drinking, either stop drinking or drink a lot more.
I'm not saying we're gonna beat UGA, I'm just saying it's dumb to act like we have no shot. They're not even close to unbeatable, and we can be tough on a good day. Do I think we're gonna win? Hell no, but I'm more worried about us playing like we're capable of than UGA or any other opponent.

What’s with these people bitching about CPJ’s “personality”? He’s a football coach, not a Tinder date.

Because his smarmy attitude comes across to the recruits as well as their parents. johnson has no problems recruiting 1&2 stars, however those players will take whatever schools offer them a scholarship.

CPJ with the media =/= CPJ with players and recruits. If you paid attention, you'd notice that his players like him and some recruits specifically cite a relationship with him as a reason for choosing GT.

My assumption on all of this is that Stansbury is holding off on firing CPJ while he tries to fix all of the background issues (locker room upgrade, apparel contract, more money for recruiting, and possibly even relaxed admissions). The thought would be that the next coach would start on more even ground with the other schools. I could be way off on that though.
I don’t think it is uncommon for a new coach, anywhere, to come in with “better things” than his predecessor.

A Tech team with a losing record has never beaten ugag since 1969, when a 3-6 Bud Carson coached Tech team won 6-0. That was the only time in the last 100 years, too...

The house is collapsing around him. His hand will be forced. No one wants to watch another year of this crap.
Bullshit. What's going to force his hand? Your whiny posts? Stansbury knows and says there have been problems with the program that hamstrung Johnson.

Apathy in attendance not seen since the last year of B*** L****'s tenure as head coach, perhaps?

Oh I don’t know. How about lowest homecoming attendance since Bill Lewis? I’m sure people will be lining up to buy season tickets after this ööööshow of a year.

I guess the point being that if there are problems holding Johnson back, those same problems will also hold back his replacement. Bringing in a new guy won't be much help if the dysfunction continues. Sounds like two separate issues to me.
