That's the hallmark of IIWII Football: Putting a 30% success rate onto a goddamned pedestal.

It should be higher. The losses in 2009, 13, and even 15 were all dismal.
It's not a pedestal. People are blaming CPJ for being bad against UGA when we have been bad against UGA for over 30 years. We currently pay our coach + OC $3million. What coach and OC are we bringing in for that price that will be guaranteed to out perform?

If some boosters are willing to foot the bill for a new coach at a higher price then please make it so. Until then IIWII.

If a coach having a winning record against UGAg is your measure, we will be firing a lot of coaches from here out. We will need to make significant facilities improvements and lower entrance standards if your ultimate goal is beating them regularly. Of course, there could be a miracle culture shift on education and GT becomes cool to 4 & 5 star athletes.

I believe anybody we were to hire could reach a 30 percent threshold, hell Vandy may have won 3 of the last 10 against UGAG

Whoa, there. Nobody's putting 3 out of 10 on a pedestal. I think most would agree that it's pretty much in line with modern history, which makes it nothing to be proud of or to denigrate. We've had some big wins, but also some frustrating losses and a couple games where we were just outclassed.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, so forgive me if this is not what you meant, but if your bar for success is beating one of the top 5 programs in the nation more often than not over a ten year stretch, you're a dumbass.

Wow, that's an ignorant statement. If you really believe this, go look at the series records of rivalries with a talent disparity as big as us and UGA. If you can find 3 that have beaten their rival more than 3 times out of the last 10, I'll concede this argument.

I'll even give you a head start. Vandy has beaten Tennessee 4 of the last 10, but Tennessee was in shambles while UGA was an elite national powerhouse, so that's a stretch of a comparison.

You and I are in agreement with the above, John. But there are definitely some GT fans here who seem content/proud/whatever with 30%. My response was directed towards that group.

Vandy has 4 wins over UGAG in the past 12 years, just as good as GT. This is not an alternative fact. Who said anything about TN, we dont even play them, FL and Au are more of their rivals.

STFU. 40+ QB Keepers is offensive greatness. Not even Clemson can stop that! As they will find out when we meet 'em in the ACC-CG!

Like every single offense in the history of football, our system works well if we have the right players for it.
We're to the point of trashing the team after a historically amazing performance.

Paul Johnson Derangement Syndrome, folks. It's upon us.

How is pointing out 40 qb keepers trashing anyone but Bud Foster?

You Johnsonians just look for ways to get butthurt and offended.

+1
Johnson is 3-7 against them. 4 others were easily winnable.
Before that, we were 11-33 dating to 1963.

We should go hire the Vandy coach that got those wins. Or find some other guy who can graduate a class that is at least even with uga.

Nesbitt 1-1 both close games
Washington 0-3 some not so close
Lee 0-1 close
Thomas 2-1 all close
Marshall 0-1 not close

Or broken down another way...
DC #1: 1-1
DC #2: 0-2
Interm DC: 0-1
DC #3: 2-3

For some reason, looking at it this way gives me a lot of hope. We really wasted several good years stinking due to Al Groh. Otherwise DC#1 played UGA .500, and DC#3 played UGA at .400, and we all think DC #4 is an improvement over both of them. Things are looking up.

Groh took one big beatdown and Roof took one beatdown. The remaining games, I think, have all been one score affairs with three OT games.
