Johnson to retire

It’s going to be interesting to see what direction we go after this.

Do we keep the option and hire one of his disciples or do we go far away from the option?

This will be a truly program defining hire for us.

Far far away.

Definitely conflicting emotions. I will always remember the feelings of elation in some incredible games. 2008 ugag, 2009 VT, 2011 Clem, pretty much the entire 2014 season. Good times. But anxious to see what comes next.

Glad to see him go out on his terms - the GT fanbase won't have to debate for the next 10 years about whether we should have fired him or not.

Well, I guess that over at Jim's site they must be jerking each other off like your mom left town.

Nope, three posts there. Guess they couldn't get it up.

Of course they couldn't get it up. You mom just left town. It's pretty brutal over there right now.

Could we? He's retiring, not being fired.

He is "retiring." He is not walking away without a payout.

We were going to keep him at least another year, but offered that if he wanted to retire, we could pay him part of a year's salary. Win-win like I've been saying for the past week.

UGA 2014. Greatest game ever played. I nearly had a heart attack. Also, may name my next child Harrison as a result.
