680 reporting Whisenhunt offered the job

My sources say it is Bill Belichick as the head coach. Urban Meyer as OC, Nick Saban as DC. Dabo as the recruiting coordinator. Brian Kelley as running backs coach, Jimbo Fisher as offensive line coach, Bill Synder as defensive line, Steve Spurrier as quartback coach, Jim Tressel as linebackers and Chris Petersen as secondary coach. Gary Patterson is in as an unpaid student assistant covering running backs.

At that was what I heard.

If this is true, i'm expecting a staff mostly in place:

Giff Smith will be DC
Rip Scherer will be OC (OC for Curry in 80's at GT)
Eric Henderson will be DL coach

maybe a few holdovers from current staff for "continuity". Sewak for sure. :)
 
When Collins walks into a 4 or 5 star recruit’s house, what can he say that sets him above his competitors?

I seem to remember back in 2007 there was a report that came out that Muschamp had been offered the job and a lot of Tech people were upset about it. Ultimately, it turned out to be false and CPJ was the only one that was offered the position. Everyone calm down and let's see where this road leads. Maybe Ken W. ultimately ends up as the guy and then we can riot. Until then, let's wait and see what happens.

This. Lots of false information from untrustworthy sources. As far as I can tell, most everyone in the AA is in the dark.

Will we actually riot? I'm trying to picture a bunch of internally angry white men in polo shirts milling about the Edge Center and looked perturbed.
