He went to IMG for free so when he (potentially) goes pro he signs with IMG sports agents and trainers.

Its trending in that direction for all the niche good schools competing against large state schoools who love sports. As long as school continues to go the direction of “feelings matter more than grades” whoever can pay for the best party will have the best school.
