I'm not 100% sure. I have followed the GISA closely for many years, and I heard from a friend of the family. But I am assuming this is a preferred walk-on - all signs seem to point toward that.

Spence also had interest from Navy and Georgia Southern. I'm not sure how serious that interest was, though.

PWO in a Collins class is an important thing. They are part of the core group, and they usually have some ability.

Darren Waller was a PWO in that 2007 class, and he's still in the NFL.

Fake News.

Darren Waller was on scholarship all 4 years and was in the 2011 class.
Yeah I think Bedford is the posterchild for walking on to Tech. Walkon DT and ended up being 1st Team All-ACC at Center. All culminating in his "come take my ring" article about vacating the 2009 ACCCG.

that tiny little short A back was a walk-on, too.

Like a hobbit charging into battle. I loved Godhigh. That dude made defenders look foolish.
If someone posts a clip of him getting suplexed by a dawg I will slit them from mouth to anus and wear them like a jacket.

I see he is from the Tifton area. Didn't we have a kid from Tifton play TE in the Curry era. The name is escaping me.

Only shows stats from his freshman and senior years in high school, is there a story there? If he didn't play football in 10th or 11th grade it may be why other schools missed him.
He played all four years. I think it's just a case of the stats not being updated like they should have been.
