I don’t get the obsession with having adidas branded Tech stuff at this point. Before it made sense because Nike and UA weren’t doing much GT stuff either. But now Nike and UA are making tons of great items for us. Both Nike and UA’s materials and fit are far superior to this adidas crap that I’ve gotten. Nike’s DriFit cotton T-shirts are awesome. UA’s sweatshirts, polos, and shorts are awesome. Adidas is still third in the pecking order in terms of brand and quality in my opinion. I genuinely don’t care if they make more tech stuff or not as long as Nike and UA are producing. That said i don’t get why adidas wouldn’t want to capitalize on our fan base’s desire from adidas stuff

This has been a big disappointment. I was ready to replace everything I have with new Adidas gear -shirts, hats, jackets, hoodies -glad I didn’t throw out the old gear.

The free shirts -I ordered a M for my fiancé and a L for me. I ended up wearing the M and I think I gave the L away.
Those were a bad joke.

The issue is the coaches are sporting some sweet Adidas gear that we can't get.

Lol. They must have added some last week or you are mistaking what I mean by baseball hat. I specifically asked the employees, so, in fact, the gray one was the only Adidas baseball hat they had. They had the old New Era and The Game fitted baseball hats from years past, but the only Adidas fitted baseball hat (which is what I mean by "baseball hat") they had was a gray one. The employees had no idea when/if they would get in any others. They did have a few other Adidas hats, so maybe you are referring to those, but they weren't fitted or shaped like baseball hats. If they actually did have more options for the Adidas baseball hats, I'd love to know what they had because it might inspire me to make a trip over there this week.

A. It's like buying off-brand MLB/NFL/NBA jerseys, people like to have what the team wears. It may seem silly to you, but people like to wear what the team wears.
B. We are an Adidas school now. It wasn't my top choice, but now that we are, I want to be one of the top Adidas schools - such that they are inspired to provide us with more options and special things. To do that, we need to support their brand. If they don't supply us with quality stuff to buy, it makes it hard to support them. Then we stay as one of the schools they care less about because they aren't selling their GT stuff. Adidas makes quality stuff, they just aren't selling it to us for some reason.

RR Shop Link. 34 hats. 2 of those are trying to match our chosen gold. I guess it really doesn't matter what they put out if this abomination is the best seller in hats. That can't be right can it?

That should be a $2 hat. Wear it working in the yard.

Was revisiting the AJC articles about the Adidas deal...

https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/...agreement-with-adidas/hebjv2I3PIBh8K6b2QwVdJ/

Apparel is measured in retail value. What can’t be measured is the good feeling that simply not being contracted with Russell will provide both Tech athletes and fans. Disparaged as “uncool” and criticized for a lack of gear to purchase, Tech athletes and fans rejoiced over the decision to part ways at the end of the contract. Further, Adidas has expressed its intent to work closely with Tech on branding, innovation and developing the Atlanta market, benefits that a contract can’t capture.

Lack of gear to purchase. Hmmmmm. And I look forward to them developing the Atlanta market. Although they have certainly increased their presence in Kohl's. I don't know if that was coincidental or what.

They have been a failure and a disappointment.

As far as the Fanatics site we use as our "official store"... pathetic. Try finding anything in Tech gold" almost a year after it was announced.

I got an email from @Jacketblind saying he had found a gold mine of GT gear in Sandersville.

Turns out it was just a gold curtain at a fabric store. Blind öööööööööööö.

Well, it could have been worse. Think about what if you had to give her the L after marriage?

I have seen that happen a bunch.

You are more likely to find a "gold mine" of redneck meth down there.

I ordered official Adidas Tech gear from the bookstore the day it was announced. The first shirt was available for pickup after game 8, I just got the rest of my order. The bookstore blamed it on Adidas.

Since Adidas doesn't actually make shirts using real gold thread?

I didn't think it was possible, but I think there may actually be less Adidas stuff available than there was Russell. At least with Russell they would release all of the gear available to the coaches for the general public to buy. Granted, the quality of that gear wasn't great, but at least it was out there.

I really hope Adidas turns it around. They have the potential.

For comparison's sake, here's a link to the Adidas official site and the Nike official site to show how much stuff they offer through their sites for college teams (I didn't do Tech because I think we have the least stuff on there right now):
