M. Bradley's opinion re: Mercedes Benz Stadium

I'm not a fan of this deal, but this narrative that we are outnumbered at UGA and Clemson games is stupid (and often propagated by our own fans) Yes it's bad and orange and red are certainly magnified because those fan bases know how to unify.

30% Clemson/UGA fans are always going to look more like 50%. Clemson brings less than that, but again, bright orange.

I'm not really worried about being outnumbered in any of these games. Clemson will probably be 35%. Notre Dame fans 15-20% at most.

The Tennessee game was just last year...

i know this drives me crazy how our own fans exaggerate how many opposing fans are at games.

So, the Yetman effect?

Same here. It happens for home games (“it was 80% Clemson”) and bowl travel (“we only brought 58 people to Detroit”). It’s a bizarre impulse.

That said, Bradley was right about what an embarrassing low point that VPI game was. Big hype, spring for a Big Boi halftime show, and lay one of the worst eggs of the last 30 years on national TV. Gailey earned the boos on the Jumbotron that night.

So, basically he says it is a bad idea because there is a risk of losing to good teams on national TV while having a large percentage of opposing fans in the stands. The alternative? Play at Bobby Dodd where you risk losing to the SAME TEAMS on either national or regional TV while having a large percentage of opposing fans in the stands. You know what this deal gives us? The chance to BEAT good teams on national TV in a premiere college footbal venue and establish the Atlanta brand.

What a loser mentality. No wonder he's a journalist. His most critical decision is whether or not to use the word 'nadir' in an article.

Basically said that the move could backfire on us if we don't have a winning team by the time the games happen. Way to state the obvious, Mark.

As long as I have my seats. Looks like I'm a season ticket holder until at least 2024 now. Hell, we will all be teleporting and driving flying cars that far into the future.

It is actually genius . Any HS juniors and seniors that commit now will know they will get to play 4 games in MBS

And use the same locker room as Julio, Ryan, Grady, etc.

He is on target in some regards, certainly not something that we Tech fans haven't already heard. Here's the deal though, we have an excellent opportunity to change these perceptions. Get behind the team and CJC, buy season tickets, turn out for the games, wear Tech gear! It's a new day folks!

I figured they had separate locker rooms for the Falcon's and built additional for other events. Do they really get to use the Falcon's locker room? Anyone?
