Why have any "announcement" such as this? So Ga Tech can "be like everybody else"? I am so tired of manufactured enthusiasm. Put something on the field, court or whatever the playing surface may be that give a reason to cheer and the enthusiasm will follow. [ In the event you already haven't discerned it, yes, I am an OF, and won't be changing anytime soon]

We have one of the most historical stadiums in college football. Show up there, and put a team on the field that wins. There’s no amount of gimmicks or shiny object jangling that will top the excitement that produces.
