It sounds like it's more about raising the profile of the game and getting more TV attention, but you might be right about weather being a bonus factor. If there is a hurricane that week, they can move it back to the original date and not have to cancel or try to reschedule later in the season.

100% chance. also, diaz doesn't last two years. in 2021, they dig up the remains of schellenberger as a replacement. and not surprisingly, he'll have less stench on him than the Miami program has on it.
