Pardon this is not directly GT or football and mods feel free to move...but pretty interesting breaking news:

https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/...dmissions-scam-alleged-exam-cheating-athletic

"bribing university athletic coaches and administrators—including coaches at Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, the University of Southern California, and the University of Texas—to facilitate the admission of students to elite universities under the guise of being recruited as athletes"
"Athletic coaches from Yale, Stanford, USC, Wake Forest and Georgetown, among others, are implicated"

Why would you bribe your way into USC (the real one) or Wake Forest?

This is basically just worried parents trying to use the admissions advantage that being an athlete gives applicants, and because these students aren't actually athletes, all this happens in the non-revenue world. (One of the few times that the money coursing through the revenue sports actually insulated them from abuse, rather than exposing them to it.)

Long story short, this doesn't appear to have much to do with any GT sports, much less football or basketball. Not that forum boundaries are sacred or anything, but this might belong more in N&P than in any of the sports forums.

Just another example how vastly different those with money live versus you deportables

Should we be offended that nobody wanted to pay their way into Tech?

course these parents may have known that was a bridge too far for their dumbshit kids

The wake forest thing is not like the others. Seriously wake forest? Is wake a good school?
